Go ahead. Some obvious ones: it's very, very, cold. My current hourly rate is $15.25. I've been getting 100-120 hrs/week. I stay in a free mancamp. Also free food. I work for Halliburton in the frac department.

Pump sand, count sand, take sand from sand trucks, sit in my truck and get warm, work on pumps when needed, if we're rigging up or down, carry pipe and bang hammer unions
at least 3-5 years. Most supervisors have been doing this for about 5 years it seems.
Nope.
I'm just starting out man.
None whatsoever. Although according to my friend, my military service helped. When I interviewed, most of the questions were about how I can handle heat/cold, how I can handle long days, how I deal with other people.
Turn over is very high, but I've got a family, so I'm not quitting. I can get two raises my first year, and upward mobility is very good in Halliburton./l、

I'm a "frac hand," right now I work on sand, it's where most frac hands start, cause it's simple. I run machines that distribute sand before it's mixed with water and pumped downhole.
You can put me down as a reference if you want... it won't help you really, but I'll get a bonus if they hire you, lol
WG-10 step 3 pays $25.78/hr. I don't believe in stealing my paychecks anymore. For now, the extra pay is worth it. I've already paid off a couple small debts./l、

lots... I work for the city (local government?) and there are lots of good paying low-tier jobs. Mechanics make $23+ an hour. Same as body repairmen. Electronic specialists make close to $30 an hour. Cleaners make $15 an hour. Other guys make $18+ an hour.
All come with good benefits: sick time, paid vacation time, holidays, time and a half, pensions, etc...
And then there's management (lower, middle, and upper) and those guys make more... best of all, it's all about your work ethic, who you know, how likeable you are... not what you know. Most of the people are just high school graduates, some with only GED's and a lot of foreigners who get hooked up by family members.

Yes, it rules, female friendly, gross, wife, hairy butthole, her beautiful face/hair
Yes. They're paying for my CDL. My official title is Operator Assistant I Frac/Acid.
I just applied. I have a friend who's done it for a few years, I asked him about it, he said it's pretty cool, so I applied. 2 weeks on, 1 off.

It seemed like an interesting field. I knew it would be hard, and the money is good. I don't have a lot of marketable skills, but what I can do is withstand hardship. You'd be surprised how much that is worth./l、

Probably a lot different. When we show up to a job, there isn't even a rig there anymore. I haven't seen much of 'Black Gold,' but from what I've seen they're a wildcat drilling operation. Drilling and fracking are entirely different phases of wells. Smaller outfits are much more "fast a loose" than larger corporations. Halliburton reminds me a lot of the military with how much it focuses on safety.
There's a lot of different kinds of situations out there. My living conditions aren't too bad. Considering how little time I spend there, it doesn't really matter anyway.
I sent in applications. I only applied to Operator Assistant I Frac/Acid. Cementing is another entry-level position to look at. If you already have your CDL it'll help./l、
