I loved LA when I visited earlier in the year; it was a lot like home but the amount of homeless people was very eye opening and the smog did get to me.
Still prefer my home:

Been in LA for a decade now (fuark i feel old) Its a love and hate with this town like most people. The high cost of living, horrendous traffic, fake people, and wannabe vibe gets under my skin all the time. At the same time, the weather, great scenic views, beautiful women, and chance to be successful and rich is always a source of inspiration. It's a unique kind of city, certainly not for everyone but it has its own vibe.

I'm sure that there are great places to live in the area but overall I hated it. Srs.
It's highly overrated and I feel there are many cities in the US that are better that get looked over because they aren't as "happening" as LA.

Born and raised in San Diego, have lived in LA for the past 7 years. I love both cities and SoCal truly is the GOAT region of America.
Let's be realtea though, San Francisco really is the best city in California. BUT the SD+OC+LA combo trumps the NorCal/Bay city combo.
