When I was over in England in '06 for soccer pretty much every breakfast was eggs and "bacon" that seemed like it was ham (if I'm remembering correctly).

It's not supposed to be the average breakfast of convenience eaten in a hurry before work. It's something made when you actually have the time and want to enjoy the meal.
