Hi.
I just got certified as a personal trainer and wanted to know what I have to do in order to be able to start training people. Do I HAVE to register as a business? If I do then it will be as a sole proprietorship. I notived that they said I have to put a location but im planning to either train out of a gym, my condo complex or the clients home. I would really appreciate any experienced chicago personal trainer's help!
Thank you.

well first you have to see if you can at a condo complex. check with the hoa
gyms will either hire you or you pay rental fee
at peoples houses is hard
my advice when starting out is to have another job while doing pt on the side
see if its something you want to continue and really enjoy and also it will get your name out and help build a client base.
goodluck. im me if you have any other questionsB.S Exercise and Sport Science (University of Utah)
