I'd love to be able to afford that house, but if I had 120 million to spend on a house, I wouldn't spend it on a gaudy, tasteless brownstone in Manhattan. Looks like a grandma with pink hair designed it.

Just because we don't agree with the price of something doesn't mean we don't understand real estate. But let's be real, in places like NY and CA, you're paying for the NAME, not the actual place itself.
I've never lived in NY, but I've livef in Cali and the prices are RIDICULOUS there. Even in the slums, you're still paying out the ass for a small ass apartment, studio, or if you can afford it, a tiny ass house.
There's no way a 600 sq ft apartment should run you $1200 a month. No fukcing way.
I put in the city I used to live in and tinkered with some numbers, just to see what's out there. Lol, 858 sq ft.....for $349K? Absolutely not.

People leave these areas and come to the Midwest because their dollar stretches much further than it does in those areas. Sure, people will pay for it, but that doesn't mean it's worth the price they put on it.

fukken LOLd.
across the street from that "house" there was a sign on the other building saying it was for sale. i was walking around the neighborhood (when i lived in NYC) and i called them to see how much they were asking thinking it was 1 apt in the building but no... it was the entire building. that one was 12 million tho.

I love house porn.
That place would be dope if you updated it to look more modern. I actually like the vertical style, it's a nice change from the sprawling mansions that take up like 3 acres, just kinda different and cool in it's own way.
Would love that library and kitchen. Might keep those pretty much just how they are. Would turn one of the rooms into a gym. The theater is awesome. Pool is kinda lame. Roof deck is gorgeous.
