Asked her out just now after spending 12 hours at the library together.. just asked "would you like to go on a date with me on sunday night?"

she goes "umm.. potentially" I then say I need an answer right now.. and she says "well I have to see how much studying I get done by then for finals... so potentially" then I just say ok let me know soon.. FUARK.. i should have said the date or time isn't important they can always be changed. I just need a yes or no.

but of course i couldn't think of that until I was already walking into the house..

just some background on me and her:

-known each other for 2.5 years, really good friends, but imo there is something more there
-both had a thing for each other at the wrong times
-I fukked her sister 6 weeks ago(srs)

I'm only posting pics if she somehow says yes. If she says no, I'm going to tell her that I'm not gonna be "the friend" straight up

Granted this is the misc, but could I get some constructive advice instead of bashing please? In terms of what to do now/what I did wrong.

Being friends with her for 2.5 years then asking her out strike 2. You dug yourself deep in the friend zone level Quasimodo. That never works, she has you as a friend which to some women is pretty similar if not better than dating. Why would she want to change that?
