You guys are crazy. From what I have learnt from her, you guys really destroy your body's. More so than any lifter. That's not even mentioning all the ****ed up body image issues that are inherent with dancing.

yes, I am. Lifts aren't that bad though. I usually have a smaller partner when I'm partnered and put into lifts..I'm closer to the ground than the taller girls!

This is my current foot...I just has surgery to remove an extra bone in my ankle. It's called os trigonum. Google it. It was being crushed between my lower leg bone and my heel bone when I would pointe my foot and dance en pointe. I was dancing in pain since the summer.

I can skate better than the average joe that clings to the wall. I've never thought about becoming a figure skater. I know a lot of dancers who started as figure skaters when they were kids.

I only say that because I've experienced it first hand.

Seeing a ballerina chick. She asks me for diet tips all the time. She's about 4'11 and can't weigh more than 90lbs, yet she is determined to lose more weight because of the pressure her instructors, companies put on her. Teachers calling students fat, etc. Being told to lose weight.

It's fuked up. I'm trying to get this girl into healthy eating/lifting habbits, but she's afraid of getting too fat/muscular to be looked at for a job.

No WK. It's just the way it is. If we were talking about regular girls in real life, I'd agree with you. But she's doing it so she can pursue her dream, not so she can look good and be an attention whoring sloot. It sucks to see someone you care about destroying themselves intentionally. But I respect her because she is doing whatever it takes to get where she wants to go.

It's a mix. You get straight guys that are straight as they come..like they have motorcycles, tattoos and they hit they gym to lift..they also hit on all the girls. Some of the straight guys are really strange. Most aren't straight..they range from divas to guys who come off straight. Some guys are questionable..they say they are straight they just don't know they aren't straight yet.It really depends on who you run into. The dance world is really small and everyone has mutual friends.

its hard and there are things that are out of my control...it's so competitive. It's also expensive..My last pair of pointe shoes was $97 and they only last a few weeks. A custom leotard is anywhere from $50-$80 depending on what company you get it from.
