unless you have a passion for lifting, most peeps dont want to do to the gym 5 days a week. Not to mention with 5 days youll need to make sure youre eating enough to support that workload
For those that dont believe over training is real, do smolov while keeping your current diet or even a cal deficit (if you really want to try and prove me wrong) and report back

It's not too much volume, however it will depend on a lot of factors, such as how you structure volume, intensity, caloric intake, sleep, and external stress outside of training.
For example, one of my guys work week on/week off, so this week we squatted benched and deadlifted every day for 7 days. He hit an easy deadlift PR of 540 on day 6 after pulling 5 days in a row. He's on a dreamer bulk and went from 174 to 198 in 6 weeks, still has 6pack abs and vascularity, and we've been doing full body compound training pretty much every day. Volume is lower when he goes to work at camp due to the stress of working 12 hrs before training, frequency and intensity stays the same.
How you feel is a lie. Overtraining is very hard to do if you have any sense.
