Something sets heath and kai apart from Ramy as of now. Call it condition, maturity, separation, detail, hardeness or a combination of those, but Ramy still lacks against those 2. He will not surpass either this year.
Hope someday he can achieve that look, or something similar, while keeping healthy, but it will not be easy, and i doubt it will take only a couple or even 3 years...he may never be able too. "maturity" and years of training didn't make jay's arms look any harder...they were still soft, and it wasn't in is genes to able to get that hard look phil has to them.
Hope Ramy can do it, eventually.

IMHO, separation, inserts, lines are genetic...but it takes years of training and top notch conditioning to bring them out.
Think of your abs. No amount of training or maturity is going to change the lines, separation in your abs but whatever lines and separation you do have will only be evident with optimal conditioning.
Ramy has never reached the same level of conditioning as Phil/Kai so we really can't say whether or not his lines, separation and cuts will be equal to, better/worse than Phil/Kai.
Once/If we see Ramy onstage with some seriously striated gluteus and a sunken face then we will be able to see his muscle separation, inserts, lines a lot more clearer. In saying that, due to his size, I don't think he has to have the greatest lines or separation in the world because even decent lines and separation will allow him to trump his competitors due to his freaky size.
Also think and remember that Menzer (arguably best conditioned Pro ever) did not ever crack the Mr. O top 6...so size plays an obvious role but it needs to be a balance of size and condition, Dorian, Ronnie, Jay '09, Dex, Phil...all have that balance...Ramy has the freaky size but not quite there with the conditioning to really bring his physique out.THE LEVRONE 2016 MR. I'm positive it has something to do with muscle size.
For instance, Ramy has never displayed that amount of separation he had on his quads before since he grew.
Same with Coleman.
Then you look at guys like him and say "how does he show more detail than the pros?" ;
I don't know how it scientifically works but my guess would be that because each muscle fibre grows = less condensed = what looks like "less separation".
A bit like when you blow a balloon, everything stretches out.

Ramy has been on a pro stage 3 times. How many times did Heath and Kai compete in pro contests before they got to their #1 and #2 spots? He's incredible but thinking he will surpass either of these guys so quickly is very wishful thinking. I wouldn't bet on it this year but in time, who knows?

I see what you're getting at. I'm certain that it's GH. I dont think Ronnie ever touched GH until '97, then he stepped on stage on '98 ~40lbs heavier, dry as a bone but not as much detail.
I've seen some INSANELY detailed natty bber's. None of the IFBB pros even come close to them in terms of detail. i.e. doug miller. put this guy under the youtube guy's gym lighting and he'd look like -10% bf and be more detailed than that guy as well.
