instead of all these videos of him lifting, I would love to see a post-cardio pic or video showing how long he did cardio or how many calories he burned. The guy has all the muscle in the world. If size was all it took to win, he would be Mr. Olympia by now. He should focus on being contest ready before the contest like Dorian Yates. He can afford to sacrifice a little size to come in shredded and bone dry.

1- 90's were much better than now;
2- Nasser was competing at the top, for the O, in at least 4 years of the 90's, even placing 2nd at a controversial show;
3- Ramy is another sonbaty type guy but,
4- Ramy can't win the O.
Makes sense."Kai's traps outsize him, when you compare them to the rest of his body, he's very very thick there, it makes him unbalanced." - Lee Thompson

Didn't watch yet but Lee nailed it IMHO. Ramy is going to go down as a Nasser or Ruhl type mass monster. Respectable in their own right but they nor Ramy, will ever have that crazy dry, thin skinned or grainy, shredded type of conditioning and aesthetics that are necessary to win Mr. O.
Every O Ramy gets bigger but his conditioning never improves, that clearly illustrates what his emphasis or focus is on.THE LEVRONE 2016 MR. OLYMPIA COMEBACK

Nasser was a much better bodybuilder than ruhl, and was as close to winning the O as it is possible. They are not on the same boat, just because they share an atribute like size. Ramy is like neither of them, dispite sharing that same atribute. He has a compeltely diferent physique.
The dude is 30 or 31 or wtv, his focus has plenty of time to change in 10+ competitive years. Dunno, seems perfectly reasonable that he will be able to achieve that "crazy dry, thin skinned or grainy, shredded type of conditioning and aesthetics" jay displayed in 2006."Kai's traps outsize him, when you compare them to the rest of his body, he's very very thick there, it makes him unbalanced." - Lee Thompson

Ramy has nothing to do with Ruhl. He has zero weaknesses. He is getting bigger and looking denser. Just needs to lose 5-10 pounds and come in drier that is all. Nasser could be compared to him maybe. Ramy is a special breed. He really is one of a kind. If he actually gets a comparison next to Phil and Kai, you will see it. He has to do his part and come in shape. He is lifting so much heavier and I think it will show at this years Olympia.
Grainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes

I agree that Nasser was a better bodybuilder than Ruhl, no doubt. He is one of the uncrowned Mr. O's in a lot of people's opinion.
True that Ramy has time but his focus tends to be on size is all I am saying, at least for the moment. Also, Ruhl was a pretty impressive bb, his shear size alone was just shocking as he was north of 285lbs on stage.
Also, not saying I agree with it, especially in this particular case, but unless Ramy starts some serious work on his conditioning, guys who are more diced are going to place ahead of him.
In this case, as depicted below, it is a true travesty, as Branch has no business in the top 6 but the IFBB obviously puts a very heavy emphasis on conditioning. It is almost comical to look at the pic below and have Branch place higher than Ramy, even though Branch has much better conditioning, his body is mangled. But if Ramy wants to win, he needs to follow the trends of the IFBB and what the emphasis is on and in this case, at least as of late, it is conditioning.
