They realized that when you have 30 Marines that need to do annual training and 2 computers its going to take a while. By the time you are done with your annual training, its been a year and time to start over. I cant believe that they just realized how ineffective this really was. There are some perishable military skills that need to be practiced often in order to remain proficient. Being told not to rape somebody or buy a Ford Raptor as a PFC probably shouldn't be on there.

How do you expect to fight the enemy with sleeve tattoos? Didn't the Army recently change their **** again?
Also, trying to plan classes next semester. College Algebra and Macroeconomics are the two "hard" classes I've selected as well as Sociology and Early American History.
Whatchu guys think? I still need to take English 1102 or whatever is the one after the first one you take in college.*rescued two dogs crew

I started in 2009 and I have been through no less than 5 PSRs. My buddy was doing a tour down in NO and he put me in contact with one of the PSRs at 4th FHG which I guess is where the General is at. I got an email from him that my RELM was entered into TFRS, not sure exactly where I am in the process but I think something has been approved. Anyway this was a few weeks ago and since then has gone NC on me. If they would have just told me from the beginning I would be in the USAFR right now lifting weights in IUD with the loadmasters.

First time posting ITT and I'm probably the youngest one here. I just graduated from Parris Island last Friday and I had the pleasure of meeting SgtMaj Green. He flew down to PI for Delta Co.'s moto run and graduation. It was surreal having the SgtMaj of the Marine Corps running and singing cadence 3 feet away from you. I screamed the **** outta those cadences. Also we had the chance to watch the Silent Drill Platoon on the Parade Deck, I had to go to medical to get my erection checked out. My Senior Drill Instructor told us that in his 11 years in the Corps, he's never seen the Silent Drill Platoon or met the SgtMaj and that we were extremely lucky. I'm motivated as **** right now but I've been told I will hate life at ITB.

I'm typing this at parade rest, ayyyy. It was fun as ****, good times bad times. I learned to love my Drill Instructors, some of the **** they made us do had me in tears, they're funny as hell. During phase 1, a recruit stepped up to our kill hat while we were standing on line. They were cussing back and forth and all of a sudden I see my kill hat choke slam the kid on a foot locker. He ended up going to the hospital with a concussion and got dropped back in training. Our kill hat went away for a couple days and came back.
One morning after PT, our senior made the entire platoon walk on the grass and "mark time." So all the sand fleas started swarming us, we had to stand at attention and every time a recruit moved or scratched he would add another minute. I've never been more frustrated and angry at bugs in my life, **** sucked hard.~My daughter is my world crew~

No, that's messed up. Our Senior used to get really mad whenever he heard the phrase "Dirty Delta," I'm guessing that was when you went through recruit training. Did the recruit kill himself because of mental health issues/stress or was it something else? What's the story behind this if you don't mind sharing.

We were at the range obviously and it was qual day, the Friday before Columbus day in 1997. We all shot in the morning and were recording scores for this last round of recruits, it was pretty late in the day. The guy was the guide from the platoon downstairs. He was a PT stud I guess and had been good at everything up until this point. He unked and his coach had been dogging him pretty bad I guess.
We were at the 500 sitting on those cans and he was talking to the recruit on the firing line that was shooting. "Is your weapon on safe"? The recruit kinda of looked back at him like wtf, still remaining in the prone position. I guess he thought he was going to get a safety violation or something. Thats what I thought too. Next thing I know he runs up to the line and puts the muzzle in his mouth and reaches down and there is like a little struggle but he manages to get to the trigger somehow and "BOOM", pink mist. Just like they say. It was like a vapor cloud of blood. I stood up and yelled cease fire and ran to the line to attempt CPR, but there was blood pouring out of his ear like a faucet. His feet were at the top of the berm and his body was laying down and his feet were just twitching. Somebody shouted for us to get down so I layed down with my face in teh dirt for what seemed like hours.
When they got us up our whole company was sitting behind the 500 facing away from the targets. They brought the dinner chow out there because the chow hall was closing, it was getting dark by then. My SDI came to me and like hugged me and I started crying, I dont know why but I did. I ended up going to NCIS or some police building for a bit. There were 4 of us that were there, including the guy whose rifle it was. They asked us about what happened and we told them.
I unked too but I didnt really care too much except that I got dropped to 2nd Bn Plt 2085. My buddy that I grew up with was the mess chief of the chow hall so it was pretty cool and I always got good food after that. 2nd Bn was much easier and we got to read newspapers and crap like that. I ended up going to MOS school with a guy in my Plt at 1073 and we are still friends. We dont really talk about it much.USMC/USN Crew
