All America needs is to have proper college programs like they have with American football, then send their players to play in the European leagues and within ten to fifteen years they'd be a top 15 team.

As a Brit who is also an American football fan, I can see why they haven't taken it on much though. Does American TV show premier league games etc?

Not really. On ESPN, our main sports channel, they showcase the sports that appeal to the audience.
To be honest, most Americans are into football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and lacrosse/baseball in the spring/summer.

Also the most popular sport everywhere outside US. The World Cup final is also the most watched sporting event with 900+ million people watching, probably even more this time. So it is important no matter how you look at it.

Getting knocked out with 0 points would be embarrassing for a country like US, who claim to be GOAT at everything. And saying that only happened because we actually care more about College basketball will make US look pathetic.
