    The best Casein Protein choice.

I am going to get a casein protein. ON's Casein seems higher priced than other brand's casein. Does it worth buying ON's protein ?

I recommend SAN Casein, Xtreme Formulations UP 2.0, possibly Phase8 as blend with casein in it

All of these choices are quality

For straight casein my favs are San vanilla pudding ( it has excellent mixability and probably one of the best vanilla protons around. Plus it makes great ice cream.)

I also like dymatize Cinnabun. I would say its 2nd best cinna roll flavor next to XF 2.0. Only reason to buy straight casein though is if you enjoy the particular flavor or want thivker shakes

milk is 80/20 casein to whey
cottage cheese is another casein food source

XF 2.0 in milk would be largely casein and the taste is unmatched

Cottage cheese is good pre-bed if that's what your looking for.
although not needed what is your reasoning for casein? You are not going catabolic overnight, maybe look into a blend that you can use anytime of the day

For straight Casein go San. If you want a blend with whey, casein..ect..ect.. XFUP2.0, MT Phase8, Giant Sports, Beverly UMP, san metaforce and iForce Protean (miss it) are some of my favorite blends.

Thanks for the love guys, flavoring is definitely top notch

OP, Optimum Casein is a solid choice. Though many prefer a Whey/Casein blend over straight casein, there are available studies that show a blend is more ideal than just straight whey or straight casein.

Aside from UP 2.0 being a blend, it also has added EFA's. Be sure to check out our newest flavor, Butterscotch

I use InnerArmour Casein Peak when I do use a casein protein. Like that it doesn't have that grainy consistency of some casein powders and it's also not overly thick when mixed with milk. Another solid option is Universal Casein Pro

SAN Casien vanilla protein is probably the best casein protein i have had and i typically hate casein. I don't know how SAN did it but this is probably the first time i ever wanted buy a Casein only protein.

ON casein was just awful IMO. I had a scoop of the vanilla and i couldn't finish it just like the Dymatize cinnamon casein. CytoSport makes a nice Casein as well but i would really only recommend XF Ultra Peptide 2.0 (not 100% casein but it's very thick and best tasting protein EVER), SAN casein, and Phase8 (not 100% casein but it is very thick, creamy, and filling.)

SAN vanilla pudding casein is downright one of the most delicious protein shakes I've ever consumed.

I'm a huge fan of Universal's CnC casein as well.

I'd avoid ON for the most part (products are decent quality, but not for the price).
Also (as suggested multiple times), consider a blend as opposed to straight whey/casein.

    I recommend Phase8 every time.
Syntha-6 is also a great choice.

Thanks for the replies. I can't eat enough before going to bed, that is why I want to get casein, because in the morning I wake up starving with the feeling that I have lost a couple of pounds.

Agree Dymatize Cinnamon Bun is great. Haven't tried the ON casein though, so can't comment on that one. As far as cottage cheese, that works great too.

That's just a feeling, bro. If you get the necessary calories in during the day, you're not losing at night. If you don't, you are going to lose, but not several pounds, and certainly not in one night. Now, it sucks to go to bed hungry. Casein tends to be thick, and ours will definitely help stave off Hunger pains, as well as help you meet your daily protein needs.

I was buying ON caesin for awhile which I really liked. Then I saw dymatize caesin was a little cheaper and gave it a shot. I got both in chocolate and both tasted good. They are very similar but I'm going to stick with dymatize for the price.

[QUOTE=DasBiceps;1173734713]SAN Casien vanilla protein is probably the best casein protein i have had and i typically hate casein. I don't know how SAN did it but this is probably the first time i ever wanted buy a Casein only protein.

^^^^ This! SAN was so kind to send me several samples of their Casein protein and I was blown away. Very good in water and downright delicious in milk.

    SAN FTW!!!!

Well it appears based on the feedback, I'm going to have to pick some SAN Casein.

I love 100% casein for making smoothies, shakes and puddings.

I have tried and enjoyed Universals Casein Pro especially the cookies n crème. Doesn't taste like a casein shake at all and it was nice and smooth. I prefer a blend over straight casein, but to each its own.

Thanks for all the SAN casein mentions, guys. I'm glad people are digging all the new proteins we've been releasing lately.

Props to XF as well, their blends and whey are all fantastic.

I've tried Dymatize Cinnamon Bun and Chocolate peanut butter, both are very tasty and mix well IMO. I've also had ON Casein which tasted pretty good but didn't mix all that well.

For straight casein definitely go with either SAN Vanilla or Dymatize Cinnamon Bun, I am not typically a fan of straight casein but I thoroughly enjoyed the taste and texture of both.
