Just saw a report on the news about McD's employees striking for $15 an hour. Wal-Mart employees have also done the same before. Why do these people think they should make way above the minimum wage to do a monkey's job? If you want a better paycheck, either move up in the company or get another job. Seems like more and more people think they're entitled to better money just cause.

Why do fast food workers/Wal-Mart employees/etc think they deserve $15 an hour?

I think people deserve to be paid well, but I think people need to put in the work to get educated/learn a trade. However with that being said, circumstances do come up in life that cause your plans to change and you're stuck in a crappy job.

They don't realize that if they indeed get a raise and their protests succeed, they will replace 3 of every 4 workers with automated machines and touch-screen ordering devices. BRB getting a 40% raise while laying off 75% of employees, and throwing the economy deeper into the ****ter (however, the aforementioned scenario will never happen) And not for nothing, but the people who work there are at the bottom of society for a reason. Literally every time I go to a fast food place, something is messed up. They are just uneducated laborers who think the world owes them something. It does not, and never will.

Nobody should look at flipping burgers as a way to live independently with no compromises. That's the problem. If you want to have your own place, have a car to get to work, buy groceries, pay your utilities, and have extra for pointless sh!t, you better realize that having a job that even kids can get is not the best way to go about it.

Perhaps if the corporations paid their employees more as opposed to pulling in billions per year, the employees wouldn't need welfare.
I'm not saying that these workers "deserve more money" but someone is going to have to pick up their slack, better the corporations than tax dollars on welfare.
Corporations pay more -> Less people on welfare -> Profit ??5/3/1 and Flexible Dieting
