Im wanting to start a variation of a 5x5 workout. Madcow, stronglifts, etc. But im not sure what to start on seems like the strong-lift one is more for beginners. Right now im at DL-540 Squat-480 Bench-370. I like the idea of the strong-lift 5x5 but will it still work? It says i need to start at about 50% of my 5 rep max and go up 5lbs each workout. And thats at 3 workouts per week.

wtf, if those stats are real, no, SL will not work, it is a beginner routine.
Honestly I would think that someone capable of hitting those numbers would be able to figure that out. Whatever you have been doing has clearly been working, why change it up.
I'd suggest you look into intermediate programs such as the Texas Method (its a 5x5) or Wendler's 5/3/1 with those numbers if you feel you need to switch from whatever you're currently doing."I'm just a lat guy, you know?
