Maybe the male with sex addiction doesnt want the underlying issue solved? Having an issue or condition is only a bad thing if the person who has it is unhappy as a result of it. I'm sure if these men thought their sex addiction was a bad thing then they wouldnt be doing porn.

This^
Female misc was created for a reason. Like minded betas hang out there if you are a woman in need of validation.
It's actually quite comical that the forum sloots (not naming names) still continue to crawl back where the Alphas hang out even while being cut down. They know where they want to be, just like irl...so much lulz.*LEO crew*

I've been here long enough to disregard people who can't think of any rebuttal other than "you're a sloot" "you're old" yada yada. If you think you can "drive me away" you obviously don't know how little some idiot stranger's words on an anonymous internet forum actually affect me.

Well you are a role model for me, there's no question about it. I'd love to be in a marriage like yours and be a good role model to my daughter.
Yes I haven't seen any logical studies referenced in this tread, only that one # of sex partners and divorce for women, which is horrible flawed.
I don't think Al Shades has any evidence to give you, other than anecdotal.

That's probably why you got those comments yes. Judging from some of your posts you seem like the type of female candidate that may not be wanted around here.
However, shelifts1989, its 2013, regardless of what site or what opinions you hold, you have to remember you are on the internet. You ALWAYS have a chance of being insulted. Hell, do you not see some of the comments that men direct at other male posters? You act like women are the only ones that get berated here, but that may just be a result of your female logic bias though.
If you are a man who acts like a *******, you will be berated.
If you are a women who acts like a sloot or a sloot advocate, you will be berated.
Edit: In case youre also too dense to realize, YOURE POSTING ON A BODY BUILDING SITE. If you are fat or overweight, you shouldnt be shocked when you get insulted for being big.**********S ALWAYS NEG ME CREW***

It can be very dangerous, male sex addiction. It can lead to suicide over the behavior, life threatening STDs for the person and his/her spouse, meeting hookers and getting robbed and or killed by the pimp.
I've seen Sex and Love Addicts who are suicidal when they are away from their "high". People laugh and say sex addiction meetings are a good place to meet women, yet when you hear the stories, they all suffer greatly.
I had this BS from AA meetings, there are few SLAA and EDA meetings in my area and AA has a meeting on every corner, so I started going to them even though I have zero problems with alcohol.
They basically told me to leave because my problems were not as life threatening as theirs???? I had a gf of my ex stalk me with death threats and threaten my child at the time, and that's not dangerous???!!
Every addiction can be dangerous.

And most crimes of passion are over love and sex.
Jodi Arias for example.
So to label one dangerous and the other as not is crazy.
Eating disorders are life threatening too, yet that wasn't seen as the case with the AA people.
Addictions are measured by consequences, not by substances.
And as mydawgs says, this board is a public forum and those with differing views should not be driven away.
If you want everyone to agree, go post on the Conservatives Seeking Virgin brides forum.

The exposure to the risks is a lot greater through pure numbers. And yes, many people with the addiction are probably unhappy or they wouldn't need an escape activity that exposes them to a lot of risk instead of an intimate relationship. Surely there's nothing wrong with being very sexual, but if it interferes with your ability to form intimate relationships and doesn't enhance relationships, there's something arguably dysfunctional about that. Some people may find joy in it, but some people find joy in being alcoholics.

But see, realizing you have a problem with a certain vice is much easier when youre sober and that vice is forcing you to become winded while you walk to the kitchen to get more cheetos. People become physically dependent on alcohol. I doubt your formerly fat self was physically dependant on pop tarts and ice cream.
Its like Kayne and how he recently compared his career as a rapper to being a police officer or a soldier in the army.

Yeah, and that's the one part where it's really more dangerous with the withdrawals and need for medical supervision. But in terms of the addictive aspects, food, sex, drugs, travel, it's really all pretty similar in terms of what is happening inside the brain. As a person with some experience with addiction, the physical withdrawals are really a minor aspect of the trap of addiction. The psychological addiction and desire for the substance persists long after the withdrawals are over.
Heroin withdrawals are actually over pretty quickly. If all you had to do was get a heroin addict through withdrawals, it wouldn't be nearly as serious. Once you have addictive behaviors and the brain chemistry of an addict, it's not all that relevant whether or not you have physical withdrawal effects.
Same with cigarette smokers. That urge to smoke doesn't just immediately go away when the body is no longer addicted. And with food, a person is forced to continue eating on a daily basis. You can't just eliminate the behavior, you have to correct it.not srs

Ummmm, considering there is a female misc designed for all the like minded idiotic females and their beta whiteknight counterparts, I'd say if YOU want everyone to agree with you, go post with the sloots over there. F***ing idiot. This may be a public forum but if the majority of the people that hang out here upset you with their views, why even hang out here? Bikers have biker bars to hang out at, and rave people have rave clubs to hang out at. If you dont like the atmosphere, go where you feel comfortable.

Wrong, a new study shows that an eating disorder gene has been found and it's similar to the alcoholic gene. I'm on my phone but I can find the link in the office.
That explains why some people diet and get EDs whereas others diet and don't get EDs. For instance mydawgs diets for competitions but doesn't get an ED. I followed a contest prep diet and started throwing up the cheat meals.
I have never been a compulsive overeater. I've had 20 years of bulimia and anorexia where I've been hospitalized, and many treatment professionals had me become "overweight" eating a lot of wheat bread and whole grain carbs. My body responds better to lower carbs.
And many alcoholics turn into compulsive Overeaters when they sober up because guess what alcohol is --sugar!

If the sex addict is miserable then he'll reach out for help. Not every sex addict is unhappy, just like not every heavy drinker will go to AA.
But the men I've seen at Sex Addict meetings, yes (usually porn) caused a lot of problems in their lives, from losing their jobs for watching porn at work, lack of sleep from watching porn, wife leaves them, etc. The 12 steps are applied to every addiction because it's not about the substance.

He made no such implication, he said, if ANY addiction interferes with your ability to form relationships, in specific intimate ones, you are outside of the social mainstream. An addiction means you have NO CONTROL over your behavior, even if you would like to have that control.
Are you disputing that addiction is something that people see as a good thing? The sex addict may not want to get it up for the 5th time that week, but he has NO CHOICE and there in lies the issue. And LOL at calling someone being a sex addict because he had sex 5 times in a week....we are talking about the guy that needs to have sex 5 times in an 8 hour window....
Bottom line addicts have no choice and cannot control their behavior. It is not healthy and to project the pleasure of a normal sexual drive and compare that to a sex addicts is twisted. One guy has control, the other does not, to assume that the addicts enjoys his loss of control is naive.
