Was the butt still attached to the human?
Was it a cadaver?
Was it a living, breathing volunteer that was bent over the table?

Haha it was indeed attached to the human cadaver. No live humans were hurt in my education, I think Med school is so not glamorous!
Anyway, over the weekend, I went to Chicago for the first time and I lifted while there. The arms/bench day looked like this:
CGBP
Barx10
65x10
75x10
95x10
105x10
Pull ups
bwx5 (x3)
Arnold presses
20x8 (x3)
shoulder press machine
20x10 (x3)
curls superseted with cable tri ext.
15x10/15x10 (x3)
And then yesterday, I did back squats!
Squat
Barx5
95x5
135x5
145x5
155x5
175x5
185x5
195x5
215x5
SLDL
135x6 (x3)
And various ab work.Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

I had a great oly day today. C&J on the menu, and it's been a while since I did C&J and according to my program I was set to move up to over 90% of my max, which means singles. So I took the opportunity to max out after all my warm up sets.
C&J
55x2
65x2
85x1
95x1
105x1
115x1
125x1
130x1 vid start
135x1 (previous max)
140x1 PR
145x1 PR!!
150 failed jerk (x2) clean PR??
OHP
55x5
60x5
65x5
70x5
75x5
Then I finished it off with some ab/adductor exercises and exercise ball crunches.
Notes
-I'm so psyched about the 145 PR! It's been a long time coming, and I guess this means the slow, pyramid style build up I've been doing is working.
-I tried 150 twice, as you can see in the video. The jerk portion of it just felt really heavy. The clean portion was a piece of cake both times though (and also technically a clean PR) so I guess that's good!Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

Em,
Your vid just effin made my day!
Congrats.
After the jerk, take your time stabilize overhead before you recover. Don't rush the recovery phase. Kinda like the snatch, the cog shifts upward when the bar is overhead.
Dip.
Drive.
Stabilize.
Recover.
Dump.
Great, great job! That was your nemesis.
On the jerks you missed, extend harder next time. Let the bar float a nanosecond longer before getting under. No worries. It's in the bag!
I had her use the 'squeeze cactus with your glutes' cue. lol.
But seriously, basically down up down tempo. Cog is midfoot during dip phase, then extend like a mofo during drive. I also have her stick head through the window like a camel in heat. This above all..

Thank you! Hm I mainly think about keeping the weight mid foot and "dip and drive" and poking my head through the window but honestly when it gets really close to max it's all adrenaline and I think I psych myself out a bit!
Thanks so much! I will have to remember the clenching cactus thingLog: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

Hehehe. Thanks. That's how you get a Ph.D. in broscience, getting the lifter to do what you want him or her to do without necessarily knowing the fancy scientific terms.
Hey Em, I know it's long overdue. Like almost a year. Lol. I keep forgetting and I've been meaning to tell you. The athletic director who bought you the female bar, please tell him or her I said thanks from the bottom of my heart. That bar clearly was money well spent. This above all..

Bar x10
75x8
90x6
105x4
115x3
120x3
120x3
100x11 (max reps)
Weighted pull ups
bw+10x5
bw+10x5
bw+10x5
Face pulls SS with cable Tri ext
3 sets of 10 each
Finished with decline crunches and then I rolled the ever living $hit out of my back with one of those rollers with the spikes.Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

So I spontaneously entered a powerlifting meet at my school?? Got there late so only caught the last attempt of squat (235) but I killed every single attempt that I made!
Squat: 235
Bench: 100, 115, 125 (PR for paused rep!)
DL: 265, 290, 315 (technically a PR!)
This was so fun! Some of my classmates were also competing at we all did great!Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

Thank you guys!!!
So shiit has been really rough. My poor beloved baby car was hit by a (likely) drunk driver while parked this weekend, really hard. Insurance says the damages are likely gonna be more expensive than what it's worth :'( So I've been spending all this time I don't have talking to insurance, talking to police, talking to car rental agencies, thinking about how to buy a new used car, trying to make sense of what I have to do and how to proceed. Sigh, RIP my first car ever :'(
When things aren't going great, I squat!
Made a protein/creatine pina colada:
And squat I did. Knocked a 215x1 front squat PR out of the park!
Also, I've signed up for my first olympic weightlifting competition!! It's at the end of April and I am so excited!!!Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

Speaking of itch. My neighbor is a diehard liberal. Not that there's anything wrong with that. He told me that he was "feeling the Bern."
I said,"Cool, bro. So you gonna vote for Sanders?"
Then he explained he was "feeling the BURN." It was the type of burn one can contract hanging out in nightclubs.
He had the itch, literally. So the doctor prescribed penicillin.
At any rate, I'm honestly surprised to hear you've never entered a WL meet. I know you compete as a CFer. Your WL numbers are national caliber. You can qualify for the Nationals right now. Seriously. Enter one.

Thanks so much guys!! LOL on the itch. Your neighbor should def get that checked out.
I am now on spring break. THANK GOD. Going to the Bahamas with my mom to celebrate her 50th birthday
Here is the oly session from Thursday. Hunkering down to really prepare for my upcoming meet
Block jerks
115x3
115x3
120x3
120x3
120x3
Snatch pulls
140x3 (x5)
Squat
200x2 (x6)
Followed by various pulls, rows, and arm exercises, bodybuilding style
Notes
-This felt great. I struggled a little with the snatch pulls. They are suppose to "float" and go to my chest but I found that very difficult. Hopefully with progressing weeks that will feel better.
-Noticed that my low bar squat is REALLY low bar! Not that that's a bad thing; it's just that it's been a while since I've seen myself squat.
Also...
I finally got to go to the Arnold! Went right after class today and managed to get some serious swag!
