Hahaha thanks bubs! The only thing I could think of during that one was "oh dear this is going to look so funny on video"
Thank you boom. I definitely understand the aiming thru the chin thing. Your first video was very enlightening. I just haven't been able to execute just yet probably because my perception of the vertical axis is not great when I'm standing there. Also, what is GOP drive?

Hip drive sorry . Auto correct mishap. The bar path will come. Just video tape yourself with just the bar until you can get what it's supposed to look like. Just remember the chin lift and you'll be fine. It just takes time

squat rack, bench (if mother fcukers can curl on it, you can ohp on it). normally i just power clean the weight off the ground and do it. however, i don't know if you know how to power clean. weight shouldn't be an issue for you though. or just bat your eyes at some dude and have him give you the bar in the rack position

^^^WTF is going on, everybody is getting banned lately. Tis the season for family, ham, and drunken dancing around ye ole Xmas tree, not banishment.
Just set up like 5 feet away from the lap pool, that's where I always OHP. In all seriousness I've alway been curious to see what would happen if you deadlifted with the bar underwater.Current PRs:

you're telling me this has worked for you in the past?
NOOO. Buuubs come back!
Lol hobbes it would probably be somewhat easier! The force due to buoyancy is equal to the volume of the liquid displaced times 1000kg/m^3 (density of water) times the gravitational constant.
...So if i estimate the volume of the BB is say, 1/20th a cubic meter, it would be like 250 N less force required
So roughly how much force it takes to lift a heavy waiter's tray of food less force do deadlift that.
Thanks hobbes, that was good review for the mcat...srs don't judge meLog: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

-This place has 12.5s, hurrah! Now if only it also had 17.5s for me to curl with that'd be perfect.
-I only did decline BP because I wanted to feel out what it was like to bench lower on your chest, and because I was waiting for the squat rack and was playing around. The squat rack never freed up.
-Therefore I couldn't do my front squat holds
-I saw my high school football coach there. He saw me setting up bench and jokingly told me to put on the 45s. I was just like And he laughed at me. Hmph. Soon. I will be the one laughing.
-I weighed myself and I've lost 3 pounds since last time? Why do I gain when trying to cut and lose when trying to grow?Last edited by meimonsta; 12-20-2013 at 08:53 AM.

great work on CGB I always hate that when the squat rack is taken. I have 4 gyms I'll go to from time to time 2 of the have 3 squat racks the other 2 just have 1. Usually when I'm at the gym that has 1 never fails someone is always on it doing curls?!? REALLY YOU CAN'T DO THAT SOMEWHERE ELSE?!? Lol not sure why they think they have to get in a squat rack just to do curls. About your coach laughing don't let that bother you let it fuel you to drive your self that much harder.. I like your mindset here with what you said ( Soon. I will be the one laughing. )

-Omg, this place was lovely. Was loving the equipment. There were even chains! I can't wait to be grown up enough to use chains.
-Yes, I know, back rounding on first DL rep. Wasn't tight enough. Fixed it afterwards.
-Front squats are plain hard. My lifting face has been described as "judgmental." I understand why now.
-I reset OHP to 15 lbs lighter. Going to try this again!

Ok, today is a rest day. I have some minor DOMS in my back but Gluta Blast will take care of that. I weighed myself again and I'm still down some weight which I guess is good because I can afford to stuff myself! So today for lunch I force fed myself 2 eggs, and about 15 egg whites plus some veggies, two wheat wraps, and a lot of olive oil.
Have a great day everyone!Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

Mirin that platform and squat depth! Aren't bumper plates fun? I like the colors (such a girl!).
I can't imagine how you downed 2 whole eggs and 15 egg whites I like eggs, but sheesh!

Solid front squats OP. I love how you can just leap up to the pullup bars and go, I have to climb up there on one of those box steps so I don't face plant. Eggs are awesome, go Mei!

Thank you! They are SO FUN! I think I'm going to plan every deadlift day to be on the same day I get to go there just so I can use the platform.
And I don't know how I did it either! It was more like I needed to make room in my fridge for new things so I just committed to finishing off the whole carton of egg whites. I could barely walk afterwards!
Hahaha I know right! Never again...it was such a struggle to finish!
Thanks Hobbes! Your back looks awesome! And LOL it's a matter of time before I, too, faceplantLog: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833

Notes
-I didn't feel too strong today. The lightheadedness was weird.
-I chickened out on the 110 on bench, as you can see. I only did 3 reps as I wasn't comfortable finishing up the 5 without a spotter
-The wide stance squats are getting hard. I have to keep an eye out for my knee placement and keep on focusing on pushing them out.
-I think my quad nerve issue is starting to come back I'll have to play it by ear.
-6 chins is a real PR!!!Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=158655833
