Cheers, thought as much bro.
I figured there's not really any need for them to be on an oil rig, almost everything they do can be done from an office, without having to pay them the big $$$ for working on an oil rig.
Two of my cousins also work on oil rigs, working 1 week on, 1 week off. Sounds like the life to me.
Do they have gyms on oil rigs? What's it like actually being on one? They look small as f*ck in pictures, it looks like your sleeping quarters would resemble that of what's on a submarine. Do you share a room with other people? Tell me everything in general about it.

Don't get me wrong man petroleum engineers make like 200k they just do it from an office.
Some have small gyms. Nice rigs have catering. Drilling rig like is 12.5 hour shifts 530 to six. 1/1 or 2/2. Rigs are pretty big actually but you stay in a shack on location. Usually private room with shared kitchen.
I go about 8 hours to my home for days off.316 reppin.

Neighbor is gonna try to get me in in January, fingers crossed. If i do get in i plan on saving up for a house immediately.
OP do you lift? Do you have the time for it or do you end up too tired from work to even bother. Thats always been a concern of mine regarding getting into one of these jobs, having to stop lifting in order to get rest.Occasional troll.

Industrial background helps but nowadays they looks for experience . Most larger companies have training programs that are required for no rig experience people that are backed up for months. The boom isn't booming so much anymore but jobs can still be had if you can appeal to an old school hardass.

Currently 2nd year student at a top college studying business.
What would be the best way for me to get into the industry after graduation?
Also, what jobs within the oil industry would be best for someone with business/finance/some accounting experience and what starting salary and work schedule can I realistically expect?"Psai is the love child of Rick Ross, Ghandi and Oz" - Phoenix9369
