The stomach uses a lot of oxygen to digest food, if you are working out while you are digesting and your stomach can't get enough oxygen it will trigger itself to empty, in the form of vomiting to let the rest of your body use the oxygen it needs. Not having anything to eat an hour before you workout will not hurt at all, and is far better than eating, having a pre workout then vomiting.

sometimes when i'm pressed for time i will eat my pre-workout meal, which consists of ~100g oatmeal, 2 whole eggs, 2 egg whites, 200g frozen berries, and 2 nature valley bars, and i'll train literally 5 minutes after. never made want to puke or affected my workouts negatively it's weird.

Usually, it's an endurance problem leading to exceeding the lactate threshold. If you haven't changed your routine and it just started happening randomly, it's something else.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.
