Is the 5x5 program good for strength gains?

I'm 19. 5"6. 140Lbs. I'm Trying To Progress In My Bench Mostly Since I've Plateaud. Has Anyone Done This And Seen Good Results In 2-4 Months? My Current 1RM In Bench Is 185, Deadlift 225, And Squat Is 155.

Yes, 5x5 programs are geared toward strength gain. You should worry more about that squat.

I prolly sound like an idiot here but I don't read the workout programs section often. Can someone tell me what the 5X5 program is exactly?

It's a class of programs built around 5x5 sets of compound lifts. Eg Starting Strength, Stronglifts, ICF 5x5.
