haha, just a little steady state. Dis girl does not run unless something apocalyptic is happening.
Thank you! I come bearing photos!
Definitely may give sumo a try this week. I've been trying to give a little more focus to my hammies lately. Arnold was a ton of fun! Definitely recommend going at least once.
A COUPLE PHOTOS FROM THE WEEKEND:
Get to zee Ahhnold.
Nicole Wilkins! Beautiful woman. Also a fellow Michigander - I'm training to compete in her sponsored show here in July.
Nicole was cool, but this was probably my favorite part of the entire expo. Furious Pete! Still can't believe how sweet of a guy he is.
Arnold and I..wish it would have been warm enough to dress like him.
The jaw-dropping DLB. The line to meet her was out of this world. Even for someone carrying a tattoo to represent FNF, I don't have the patience for a 3 hour line haha.
Last but not least, I was able to meet the very cute, very sweet, Mr. BigFish18q.
So sad to be going back to work after such an awesome weekend.

Quick shoulder workout before we left to go to the Arnold. + the amount of walking we did at the expo lol.

Good seeing ya too, Fish!
I'm in southeast MI so the trip wasn't too bad. I've met Nicole a couple times at our local shows, she's nice but often gives people the cold shoulder. For marriage purposes, I'd definitely stick with DLB lol.
Thanks, girly! Where have you been hiding? I haven't been in the femmisc lately. You're right, it is a FNF shirt (as are most of my other shirts/pants lol). I'm still so bummed that I had to cancel my ticket to that camp. Would have been nice to meet her, and you!

On the SLDL my toes are what's elevated (should have specified that). Puts a little more tension on my hams and activates my calves too. Elevated heel for the front squats hits the hams a little more with the angle in the hole and creates a slightly bigger deficit for the squat (esp since they're sumo and I can already get lower). I usually just place 2 25lb plates on the floor for the elevation so it's nothing huge, but enough to really feel it.

Lulz, I don't get away with anything around here.
Thanks darlin!
Haha, I think you just hate legs!
3/5
Was supposed to work out with my trainer yesterday but he gave me strict orders to stay home and take a day off. That's what I was supposed to do the day before (when I had leg day) but I didn't listen. Been really congested the last few days and have a feeling of dehydration even though I'm drinking upwards of 1.5 gal of water a day. TOTM and restless nights aren't helping either lol. Trying to up my salt intake since I've been carb depleted for so long it's hard to keep the water in.

Isn't it amazing how much less salt is in your diet when you don't take in the prepackaged carbs.
Yes it's no lie I hate legs lol I have been making myself do them but they are nowhere near my favorite..outside of my sumo deadlifts. Had my hubby make me a 10" step to do single leg step ups with the bar on my shoulders (did 90lb)..talk about quad burn.Last edited by ccmarks; 03-06-2014 at 08:05 AM.

No doubt on the salt intake. I enjoyed some full sodium soy sauce with my chicken last night.
Nice! It's a pain that hurts soo good though. I love legs because I can feel the burn in every motion. I get frustrated with smaller muscle groups (aka biceps...I hate training bis).
I think it's a must for everyone at least once! The crowd is kind of a lot to take in, but the weekend as a whole was totally worth it.
Of course you could. It becomes second nature after awhile. Although I will admit it's slightly easier for me because I don't like potatoes, pasta, rice or oatmeal lol.
*bows* thank you, thank you.
I'm feeling closer to being up to par today. Still a little bit of a hacker cough but not feeling the dehydration anymore.
