They do the same thing for mens shirts. Have to buy an XL for the shoulder room, but it's made for a fat man everywhere else. In order to get a shirt that fits decently, have to find XL euro-cut. Even XL slim is too big everywhere else besides the shoulders/sleeves.

A shirt you can have tailored though I don't think some of the cute fashion jackets can have that done.

I've given up on buying off-the-shelf stuff unless it's REALLY cheap...cuz I'm going to have to have it tailored. 16.5/34 tailored fit shirts FTW. Don't have to touch them. Although...if my size changes any more, I might have to start having these altered. They're starting to look weird in the chest, and now that I have traps I think they look weird under the collar too.

Well, from my observation I'd say about 75% of the women I knew got fat. Only 25% went the opposite direction, and that 25% is me being very generous.

She WAS a size 12-16 back then, but the current equivalent is a size 4 thanks to clothiers relaxing their sizing numbers (a phenomenon more drastic in the US than elsewhere).
