    Substitute for Skullcrushers?

I love doing them, but I find that when I go really heavy, I get pains/tweak my extensor muscle in my forearm.

I tried doing reverse hammers (I am not sure that is what they are called) where I am in the exact same position as when I do skullcrushers but instead of an ez curl bar I am holding dumbells in each hand.
Since my palms are facing each other, there is far less strain on both my wrists and forearms.

Feels like a good substitute and is actually quite difficult; was wondering what other's thoughts were on this movement.

If you like dumbbells try doing it standing and 1 arm at a time. Be careful with your shoulder in this position though. Imo it works much better than 2 hands on 1 db
    Get over yourself.

A lot of people get wrist discomfort as they use heavier weights on skullcrushers, try doing them with dumbells, more stretch + less discomfort, also allows neutral wrist positioning.

I always get pain in my elbows during skullcrushers or lying tricep extensions - low or high weight (although with really low weight I feel nothing).
