nearly all houses in the tarrant county area have a property tax rate of about 1.5% to 3% southlake is about 2.4%
As far as the construction its built on a solid foundation of cement i believe, no basements, wood framed, insulated, and then covered in brick and mortar. My brothers friends parents have a home very similar. No signature

the maintenance, upkeep of a house like that is nuts

My best friend is a nanny for one of the richest if not the richest people in St. Pete/Tampa Bay. His house is probably more impressive than that. Anyways, from what she has told me, after a while you get used to it and it gets harder to be impressed and easier to be dissapointed. She owns her own little house in Clearwater and says after a while, she is glad to have her own little home. She's about the least materialistic person I have ever known though. If I told you what she made being a nanny an average of 20hrs a week, you would rage.
Rich people raise their kids much differently than poor parents. Poor children are more spoiled and demanding. Fat too. Backasswards/10
