Deadlifting at a gym is interesting

    I'm only doing 275x5x5, so it's not like I'm deadlifting 600
BRB so many bertstares, especially from sloots, it's like they've never seen it before (like I finish a set and 4-5 people are staring at me)
BRB trainers give you weird looks
I know I'm deading right (no back pain, feelsgoodman) so it's not that
I'm not even slamming them down, also use mats so I don't get yelled at, just in case

But this week, as I was doing my deads near a wall of the gym, 3 people over a period of 5 minutes come over and set up for deads. Right in my general space. And a literal line of deads happens lol.

Cliffs: deadlifting, bertstares, all of a sudden a bunch of people start doing deads when most don't dead at my gym

Anyone know these feels/have this happen where people start to copy you? Not upset, just curious as to other people's experiences.

Edit: lol at all the haters, do you not understand what a PL cycle is? It doesn't involve drugs. And you can't keep on adding 10 lbs every week and never stop doing that... You plateau and have to start over again, this time at a slightly higher starting 5x5 than originally until you hit a new PR over a 9-12 week period. Any people who do this and PL please chime in
    http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog...dlift-program/
Doing this currently, hope it helps to understand since apparently I'm bad at explaining myself

get this especially when pulling sumo, I guess it would be different if I went to a gym where guys actually trained their lower body though.

i remember in the last 5 years i probably saw less than 10 guys do deadlifts. now these days a lot more people are doing them. they really aren't impressive 95% of the time anyway.

Nah at my college's gym. Not sure how much better/worse that is than a Planet Fitness.

A lot of swole brahs that workout here though, I routinely see brahs squat ATG 315 for reps and a couple bench 315 for sets.

It's extremely rare at my gym. I have seen it happen a couple of times, but it's usually just me and my mate that do them. More squat, there's one guy that squats 4 plates at my gym, but they're usually little leg twitches rather than full squats. Pointless really. Don't train at a real strength gym.
