I'm only doing 275x5x5, so it's not like I'm deadlifting 600
BRB so many bertstares, especially from sloots, it's like they've never seen it before (like I finish a set and 4-5 people are staring at me)
BRB trainers give you weird looks
I know I'm deading right (no back pain, feelsgoodman) so it's not that
I'm not even slamming them down, also use mats so I don't get yelled at, just in case
But this week, as I was doing my deads near a wall of the gym, 3 people over a period of 5 minutes come over and set up for deads. Right in my general space. And a literal line of deads happens lol.
Cliffs: deadlifting, bertstares, all of a sudden a bunch of people start doing deads when most don't dead at my gym
Anyone know these feels/have this happen where people start to copy you? Not upset, just curious as to other people's experiences.
Edit: lol at all the haters, do you not understand what a PL cycle is? It doesn't involve drugs. And you can't keep on adding 10 lbs every week and never stop doing that... You plateau and have to start over again, this time at a slightly higher starting 5x5 than originally until you hit a new PR over a 9-12 week period. Any people who do this and PL please chime in

Doing this currently, hope it helps to understand since apparently I'm bad at explaining myself

Some guy was giving me the death stare because I did a 5 plater right after he finished his 3 plate deadlift PR.

It's extremely rare at my gym. I have seen it happen a couple of times, but it's usually just me and my mate that do them. More squat, there's one guy that squats 4 plates at my gym, but they're usually little leg twitches rather than full squats. Pointless really. Don't train at a real strength gym.
