So I'm currently following a plan set by a gym instructor and he told me to start off every session doing ten minutes of HIIT on the treadmill before getting to lifting. Is it a good idea to be doing this every single day as a warm up or can someone suggest what would be a better warm up to try? My main goal is to build muscle if that helps at all.

well i myself do a 10 minute walk on the treadmill at incline 15 and 4.3 speed before i begin my training. i feel it gets my joints loose and blood flowing nicely. it's not hiit though so i'm not sure why you'd wanna do that before a heavy training session. i usually leave the hiit for after my training so i burn even more fat. but thats just me though. listen to your trainer, i mean you're paying him right, so hopefully he knows his stuff. but if you feel like you're not sure, ASK HIM WHY.
