    Muscletech Phase 8 and ZMA

    Just got my hands on some Phase 8. I like to have about 40 grams of slow roasting protein around 930-10pm every night as sorta a last meal. I then take ZMA around 1030-11 ish. depending on when I take my last protein.

    Never took Phase 8 before, would it's properties get in the way of the ZMA usage? Should I skip it if so and just take the ZMA. Would like to avoid as I like to take protein at night but open to sugesstions. Thanks for all the help.

    This will not have any negative effects with the ZMA. What flavor did you get?

    Hahaha...sorry, Its a name I give it for the slow digesting stuff, or the protein that has the multiple types including fast and slow digestive.

    I scored the peanut butter chocolate free when I got the vanilla. Tried the pbc lastnight but couldn't really tell ya how it tasted. Just coming off a cold. Lol. Hopefully it tastes as good as my Pronom.

    You are fine. A slow digesting protein before bed is really not needed. Just focus on your total daily intake.

    ^Agree with this. The only reason I take a slow release protein before bed is because I don't wake up in the middle of the night feeling hungry...other than that theres no point to it.

    Zma is not supposed to be taken with any calcium or dairy products because it blocks absorption. Most protein powders contain lactose and calcium so yes it would affect it somewhat. Probably minimal since the calcium content isn't nearly as high as a glass of milk though.

    Primarily avoid milk, cottage cheese, etc within 1-2 hours of zma
