So OP, here's what I wanna know, did you follow any of them rules that say spend 2.5 month worth of salary or some BS like that?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

No she has no idea this is going on.
She has been dropping hints for the last year to the point where I know exactly what she wants now.
I used http://www.usacerteddiamonds.com/usa...live_feed.html but there are alot of wholesalers out there.
I did not, had a general value I was comfortable with and went with it.
Have not proposed yet, will probably on NY Eve.
In the process of building the rnig.

Not too long, I spent a week or two familiarizing myself with the terminology and did alittle research on the little stuff like what the fck table, girdle, fluorescence and all that nonsense was.
I used one of those tools to give me a ballpark of what stats I wanted on it then once I narrowed it down to a few I just called the guy up and he helped me narrow it down further and gave me his advice.
Once we had it down to about 3 stones i just went with what seemed like the best value.
Planning on it yes.

An engagement ring is just a down payment on a divorce. By marrying a women, you are giving 100% of your power to her. She now has a complete monopoly over your sex life. And you're in California!!!! Alimony state, after 10 year of marriage you have to pay alimony for life in the event of a divorce after the 10 year period. Imagine paying money to a women you used to bang but now she is banging some other dude... You will be paying for his Jack Daniels.
My opinion, do not get married. If you really want to, 100% get a prenup and make sure its signed before you set a date for the wedding or its invalid. Get you OWN lawyer, and she needs her OWN lawyer to make sure she understands it, otherwise it can be deemed invalid.
Here, this is the man to speak to in Cal http://www.adamlawyer.com/Last edited by MikeDavies84; 11-14-2013 at 08:42 AM.

She got upset the first time I brought it up years ago but she knows its happening so she is as cool with it as she can be.
Wasn't really optional.
I couldn't help but think the same thing considering jewelry stores are selling the same stone for 13k but I have to think there are some market forces im not considering that wouldn't make that possible otherwise why isnt everyone hustling diamonds lol.
