A guy in Syracuse was killed this year and the cops were calling it the "Knock Out Game" before anyone knew what was going on or had anyone in custody. Another guy was just recently killed in circumstances similar. Not much happening to "The Kids" in the first incident. If it was the other way around, there'd be freakin' riots and Al Sharpten & Jessy Jackson leading marches.

I don't think this has anything to do with Liberalism. No offense. I think this really does not have anything to do with anything more than thugery, and that really does not involve politics. That involves Role Models, Parents who stopped diciplining their children, or really could care less if they have kids at all. It also comes down to education.

Liberalism (aka welfare) allows mothers to breed with men who are unsuitable mates and fathers. When Johnson's war on poverty was waged in the 60s 30% of African-Americans were born out of wedlock. Today, it's over 70% (and whites are up to 30%). This happens because women have a safety net that prevents them from suffering the full effect of their bad choices. No male role model means a much greater chance of boys getting into trouble.

I don't disagree with the comments you are making. I am making the comment that this has been going on through liberalism/conservatism governments for years. It should have been fixed in both of our countries.

People are seeing it now more because even someone who's 92 has a cell phone and knows how to take video. We have had gang violence, both with Black Youth, White Youth, or pretty much any minority or a mix. In fact I do believe one of the reasons why this is happening more is because of this social media. They are doing it to show off.

I live in Canada, and I am not going to comment to much on the American Political system, although I do follow it, and like to keep in the know of what's happening, but here in Canada we had an incident where 4 girls (Different Races), from good homes beat the tar out of a homeless woman for the purpose of posting it on the internet, on a site, (Forget the name). When asked...they said it was a game.

I don't have a solution...but if it were done my way, your social saftey net would be completely severed if your child committed a crime. It would be reviewed by courts, and the parents would face criminal charges along with their children, and if determined that the parents are unfit then saftey net severed. This goes for the absent fathers too. If you can't control your kids, then you pay the price for them.

This is happening in many places and it's just disgusting. Especially watching that young woman get taken down like that. Just makes my blood boil.

I agree this happens in safe places. Gun control aside, it happens in safe places because the "pack" does not have to worry about their actions. They literally walked away. A woman was walking that way. She backed off (English teacher scenario) Even if you are packing a gun, or what ever, nothing prepares you from a sucker punch out of no where. You can't retaliate.

Sure it might make these thugs think twice if someone (Other than the knock out victim) pulled out a gun and held them up for the cops, but they do it where people just would not expect it.

I agree with the poster above though. If someone were to shoot, then there would be a march of some kind. This is to me NOT a racial issue. This is an issue of people behaving badly, and if one of these kids do get shot, then I hope people rally behind the victim of their violence, not the people creating the violence.

The reaction to such violence and a possible death resulting from it doesn't have to be race based, but you can be sure the media's attention or lack of will be.
