for a profit. But now that they're cancelling their pre-orders, we'll see the numbers even out. The count from mid-October was 725,000 vs 525,000.
Agree or disagree?

Not sure about the total numbers of flippers cancelling. But regardless, they are most likely cancelling it cuz their prices are absurd, or trust issues from either or both parties(seller and buyer). Those cancelled units will just go to someone else at retail price.

Work in electronics at a box retailer and have at least 50 people come in daily and ask if they can pre-order the ps4 still.
I just think the flippers are realizing that they probably won't be able to double their money...and after shipping fees etc they aren't looking at massive profits like with previous consoles. I fully expect that Sony will adequately supply consoles. Most big box retailers are getting nightly trucks until the new year, so after the first few days, i doubt anyone will go ps4-less for much more than a week.▒▒▒▒▒▒▒

that's true.
Honestly, both consoles are most likely going to be completely sold out by the end of their respective launch weeks. I'm talking the entire stock that was produced.
So in the end the console that sold the most units at launch will be from the company that produced the most units.
just my opinion though. maybe microsoft and sony will surprise me and actually produce enough stock to meet/exceed demand.
I doubt they will though.*** Disregard neutrons and electrons, acquire protons crew ***

i think op has a point. one could pre order as many as 5-6 PS4's at launch (bc of all the launch bundles), while you could only preorder 1 Xbox one at launch (at least on amazon)
preordered 4 ps4's, 1 xb 1. sold one ps4, will keep one.. deciding what to do with the other 2. same with xbox.. not sure. just tried craigslist and hopefully will get luckyFull Blown Baby

why would someone pay more for the console right now when it hasnt even released? The buyer would feel like an idiot if he paid 600 dollars for it on ebay only to see them available on store shelves in a week or two. There is no incentive for someone to pay above retail right now. If it was that big a deal to someone to get the system on release day they themselves would have preordered one. You won't see a sizable return on a pre-order until the system releases and the stores are cleaned out. Lol at canceling a preorder. You'll be kicking yourself in a few weeks when Black Friday rolls around and parents are desperate to find one.
