There are five (5) contestants in a 100 mile race. In order to win, they have to travel North 100 miles, to beat the others.
Who won?
1. The jet pilot. Sleeps for 45 minutes. Walks 200 yards East to his car at 2mph. Drives 6 North miles to the airport at 30mph. Flies North to the finish at 240mph.
2. The driver. Walks 120 yards West to his car at 2mph. Drives North at 60 mph.
3. The cyclist. Enters the Northbound train and rides it 80 miles North at 45mph. Gets out and cycles the rest of the journey North at 10mph, stopping once to pee.
5. The commuter. Got on the train and exited at the same stops as the cyclist. Gets in his car and drives 20 miles north at 35mph, stopping 20 minutes for a coffee and newspaper. He turned left once.
