Terrible. Parents' first responisbility is to protect your loved ones regardless of your own personal safety. No one, not a single person, would fault an officer for letting a father try to save his child regardless of the outcome. Fire, burglar, natural disaster.. if it comes to harm, I will stand in the way of it to protect my family.

This is the same attitude cops have against armed citizens. As if it's NOT the citizen's duty to protect themselves and their loved ones with lethal force of a firearm.

we do understand the fathers perspective bro, and its very unfortunate. but going into a burning building doesnt help anybody. you just become one more person that needs to be rescued, and it makes the situation a lot more difficult. you need proper equipment and training on how to deal with these situations or you have no chance in hell of coming out alive.
