Nation Not About To Start Giving A **** About Canadian Politics
News in Brief • Politics • World • politicians • ISSUE 49•45 • Nov 6, 2013
WASHINGTON—Despite Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s recent controversial admission to having smoked crack *******, Americans across the country confirmed Wednesday that, Rob Ford or no Rob Ford, there’s just no way they’re about to start giving a **** about Canadian politics—no way in hell. “Yeah, sorry, not happening,” said 37-year-old Harrisburg, PA resident Daniel Cooke, echoing the thoughts of millions of Americans who told reporters they will continue happily ignoring any and all stories about the Canadian government, the politics of Canada, or scandals involving Canadian politicians. “Frankly, that guy could have been having sex with an underage boy in the middle of a parliament meeting or whatever the hell they have over there and I still wouldn’t give a ****. I don’t know or care to know who he is, where he’s from, or what he did. What I do know is that if you think I’m going to start paying attention to what’s going on with politics in Toronto or Nova Scotia or Ontario City or wherever the **** then you’re going to be very disappointed.” The U.S. populace went on to confirm that, unless Martin Short were to somehow be elected prime minister, their interest level in Canadian politics would remain at this level indefinitely

There is truth to the old adage,
No such thing as bad publicity,
This will probably aid his political career.

Saw this today on may way to work. It's a combination of ridicule, and worry. Mentioning he should get the heck out, and most importantly help.
Overall, this is not someone I want representing my city.
Teachers, Lawyers, professional people have been fired for posting things on ******** for crying out loud. Or drunken photos they are tagged in. These are good people too.
This is a touch more extreme. I know I would be fired or at least given the option to seek help, or be fired.Making skinny fat cool since 2010 :)

Is this the latest video showing a particularly ugly rant threatening to kill someone? I saw headlines this morning before work on such. Didn't watch it, but read the transcript. The gentleman, despite any talent and capability (and I'm sure he's got a good bit of both) seems to have one glaring flaw when it comes to self control and anger management.
On a serious note; we can become all sorts of things, positive and productive, in this life. But those ugly little character flaws, or 'weaknesses' that we fail to deal with over the years will always come back to haunt us. We've all got them, to one extent or another. It's easy to sit back, be disgusted and disillusioned, but it's all part and parcel of the human state of being. We are flawed. Not making excuses for the man. He's in deep doo-doo, politically speaking.
Doesn't effect me, what goes on in Toronto. But there's plenty of it that goes on all around. In every State or Provincial Capital, in every nation, in business/finance, in every walk of life, in what is simply personal, every day life. Makes you think, no? There, but for the Grace of God, go I!Last edited by paolo59; 11-07-2013 at 02:55 PM.

It shouldn't bother me that a lot of Americans think Toronto is the capitol of Canada.
Everyone knows it's Moose Jaw.
Seriously, if those in Ottawa--yes, our real capitol--see these messages, they're apt to think that Americans don't know squat about Canada. As an ex-Torontonian, Ford is a disgrace, but he does bring the lulz. "Drunken stupor" is now the new norm for Internet memes and has given TO a lot of mileage. Thanks, Ford! LOL He's the gift that keeps on giving! I imagine that stand up comedians and every talk show funny man all over Canada is having a field day with all of this. I may be mistaken, but I believe that I saw where his approval ratings have gone up. Ha! Who says Canadians don't have a sense of humor?
