No I dont like the fro look, its gross. The only one of the hair styles in those pictures I like is the middle one where she has it pulled back. I mostly like half black girls. The last one I was seeing had her hair straightened, I liked it it was thick. She dropped me so she could go **** some guy in england so I dont talk to her anymore.

A weave is a wig/extensions that are sewn on to your natural hair. Your natural hair is braided to create something to braid into, and then the weave is sewn into this. Hence the term weave.

LoL thanks for the run down. To add to this, Afro hair is just undefined very curly hair. The curls are so small that they stack up on top of each other and defy gravity instead of lying down. There is nothing "gross" about it.

@Lotta yah, I've seen girls with 'fros' turn them into really cute baby curls with the right care/treatment. I think natural black hair is biuriful (when cared for properly).

Look at some of the responses ITT. Long straight hair is the beauty ideal and for a lot of women, it's not achievable without a fair amount of hassle. Many girls are trying to "go natural" but it's a long process and as I said before, doesn't have the best results for everybody.

Right side gel, left side plain. The gel makes all the curls clump together.

I knew some of this but I didnt know they put chemicals on at the same time they use the straightener iron. I didnt know they had special wigs for rich people either. gross

Well, without chemicals, straightened hair will be unstraightened as soon as you get it wet.

How common is that? They might like "natural" white girl hair and Asian, ie, no crazy colours or styles, long and straight, but I've never heard a dude proclaim he loved natural black girl hair.

Well yeah I know it but another forum I'm on loves to say white men only like black women that are natural and fit a certain description (dark, slim, Benetton type). This dumb broad even accused me of only going natural so I could get a white man. I was like "Wut?" I used to post here pretty often so I know they tend to like only a certain type of black women and that's def not it. I was just trying to get that straight.

To feel like you "fit in" I suppose. Just like a thin/lean/fit body is seen as "ideal," so is long, thick, straight, frizz-free hair. Truth be told, the vast majority of women do not have hair like this... even caucasians. Flat irons are popular for a reason.

Okay let's be real here. Weave will grow your hair if you do it right. Think about it. You're not combing or manipulating your hair for up to 3 months. But it only works if your hair is strong enough to hold support the weave in the first place.

ETA: Obviously it doesn't make your hair grow faster but it helps retain it (when you have a certain texture). But that's beside the point.

I like braided too. Think I tend to prefer short-natural though. Especially with some strong ass facial features.

Sometimes half black bish I was seeing would go back home to shower if we was outside and I would be like well you can just use my shower but I only have $1 poverty shampoo from walmart that works fine cause I have like 1/4" hair but I have no idea what complexities black people do in there with their hair. IDK if she gonna want to use my dremel or some chit and then its a shock hazard

I spent so much money on hair care last month because I recently went blonde that it's embarrassing. However, my hair is in better condition now since I'm actually taking care of it with treatments etc than it was as a brunette.

Go figure.

Many women don't wash their hair every time they shower, regardless of if they're black or white.. It strips it of natural oils, which is fine if youre a dude with a close crop, but not if youre a woman with heavily processed hair.

I'm not sure about special shampoos etc. A black beauty blogger that I follow with long natural hair only washes it with conditioner, no shampoo, 2x a week, and then with shampoo once a month.

This girl refuses to put shampoo in her hair. A lot of people believe shampoo strips your hair and causes frizz, etc.

10 min!!?! I AM a "white girl" and it is still a major event. If I'm going to wash and wear my hair straight it's going to take 1hr20min minimum... and my hair is only just passed my shoulders. If it was longer it would take even more time. Wearing it curly takes half that time... put in produce and let it do what it wants.
