Midterm average for C/linux class was 49%....I got a 72%...wanna know the kicker? I literally got 0 points for my code writing section
The teacher said we werent going to write code on the test only have to describe what a snippet of code did.
All cause I did some silly **** like passed parameters into a function in the wrong order or put the * for a pointer in the wrong spot
He gave a 15% curve so I ended up with a 87 but still, fuk that professor
Basically he wanted us to create a linked list structure. It's been 2 years since I had to write a linked list but I kind of remembered inserting nodes so I had main call an insert function. It wasn't 100% syntactically correct but it was clear what I was doing.
He was going over the mid term and wrote some jake ass code on the board for creating the structure like
struct node node1;
struct node node2;
struct node node3;
node1.next = node2;
node2.next = node3;
node3.next = node1;
I should have known when he couldn't do a for loop correctly the first day of class

The problem I see with this is I don't think paypal sends an alert when money is funded to your account.....which would lead to your program having to login every X seconds to check and paypal might lock you out after so many logins/day
If there was an alert you could open up and log into
paypal.com/myaccount/wallet/balance
and parse the web page for the available balance
USD"},"available":&# x7B;"unformattedAmount":100 <--balance of 100$
I know paypal has a api for developing merchant apps but I'm not sure what you can hook into for your personal use
or something like that

In that case, start here: http://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/
There are webhooks so it may be possible. I don't immediately see anything that allows you to transfer money to your bank account tho.

All he said was to create the structure, not HOW to do it.
I got hit for points for doing things like this
ex
Code:int main() { insert(8, 'A'); } void insert(char value1, int value2) { //blah fuking blah }

Have a software engineering interview today.
Topics for technical screen:
· General Coding / Practices
· Recursion
· OO (interfaces, classes, patterns, etc.)
· C# / .NET Framework (generics, lambdas, garbage collection, etc.)
· Data / SQL Server (TSQL, modeling, etc.)
· Web Forms / MVC / ASP.NET
I know plenty about all of these topics but have not done any SQL in 8 months, and haven't built any .NET web applications in a long time. What is the best way I can refresh on these subjects?Android app to track lifting progress. (includes unique features such as weekly volume tracking, 1-RM calculator, RPE, WILKS calculator, find PR for a specific exercise+reps)

Hey brahs. I'm still in my introductory CS class and we just started learning arrays. I was doing great up until this and arrays have me totally lost. Example, for our lab, we have to write a program that says "Write a program that asks the user to enter a word. It will then ask for a letter in the word and the letter with which to replace that the first letter entered. The program will then change the word. If the letter entered is not in the word, the program will state this and ask for another letter." Now, i know the basics of array like how to create them and stuff. Im just confused on how to write the syntax to replace one letter with another then have that print out. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thank you.

yes i know up to there but i dont know how to write that in code. charAt()? keyboard.next()? no clue. not clicking.
this is what i have so far. dunno if its going in the right direction.
Scanner keyboard = new Scanner (System.in);
int x = 0;
String letter;
char replaceLetter;
String [] word = new String[x];
System.out.println("Enter a word: ");
word[x] = keyboard.next();
System.out.println("What letter do you want to replace?: ");
letter = keyboard.next();
System.out.println("With what letter do you wish to replace it? : ");
replaceLetter = letter.charAt(x);
}
}
EDIT: Now i have this.
Scanner keyboard = new Scanner (System.in);
int x = 0;
String letter;
char replaceLetter;
String word;
System.out.println("Enter a word: ");
word = keyboard.next();
char [] letterReplace = word.toCharArray();
System.out.println("What letter do you want to replace?: ");
letter = keyboard.next();
System.out.println("With what letter do you wish to replace it? : ");
replaceLetter = letter.charAt(x);
}
