    1600 Calories Enough To Cut?

I want to get under 10% bf, I'm around 16-17% right now so I want to get to around 105-100lbs.

    1600 calories
    160g carbs
    120g protein
53g fat (probably will lower fats and increase carbs a bit)

    Is 1600 calories enough?

I tried cutting on like 1100 calories before and it didn't do anything, probably put my body into starvation mode

No male should have to cut that low. Either stop being a lazy ass and increase your activity levels or you need to reverse diet to speed your metabolism back up. Dont eat this low calories you will damage your metabolism. Find your TDEE and figure out a 500 cal deficit from your maintenance and go from there. If you need help finding your TDEE read some nutrition stickies it will lead you in the right path.

    1. No, more than likely 1,600 calories will NOT be sufficent enough.. unless you're a 12 year old female.
    2. No, DO NOT decrease fat and up carbs. you need far OP.

For a regular fat loss, just stick with 500 caloric deficit
but if you're few weeks (1-2 maybe) away from your competition.. 1,600 calories may help you lower your bodyfat..
if not, then just stay with 500 caloric deficit.
that's what i learned from my dad when he was competing.

DO NOT cut...as others have said, bulk first. gaining muscle should be your number one priority right now. Eat at least 2500 calories/day. Work out hard. Get on a decent program like starting strength/SL 5x5. You will see results.
