Big Thanks to Bruce,Peter and the rest of the team at Giant Sports for sending me out a tub of MBS. I received a full tub of the Lemonade flavor.
Ive had 1 workout so far using 2 scoops and noticed good energy and above average pumps. I always train after an exhausting 12 hour night shift so I need a pre that helps aid in endurance and energy and MBS fits the bill nicely.
Here is the profile.
As you can see it's a very comprehensive pre and has some very proven ingredients.
My thoughts on the profile:
Overall a really nice profile but some things I personally don't care for is the inclusion of creatine,The 4:1:1 BCAA ratio (why not 2:1:1)?,The joint support and COQ10. Also a heavy dose of Vitamin K but I don't mind this and its certainly different than what I'm use to seeing.
It also contains glutamine nitrate which is a great addition. But how much actual nitrate is in 1 gram of glutamine nitrate?
Taste: The lemonade flavor is pretty good. There is definably a slight aftertaste of something chemical but its not all that bad. Overall its light and refreshing and just the right amount of tartness. If Giant could have gotten rid of the slight aftertaste it would be about perfect. Also the powder itself has no smell whatsoever. Smells like it would be unflavored.
Mixability is overall fairly good considering all the ingredients. If you let it sit for a few minutes there will be ALOT of powder at the bottom. More than any pre Ive used. Give it a quick swirl and its gone but it comes back if you leave it sit.
Sometimes a pre workout with a big serving size sits heavy in the stomach for awhile. I do notice this if I try to drink all 20oz right away but it subsides in 20-30 minutes. Its definatley a pre you want to sip for over a period of time ( on your way to the gym) instead of all at once.
Those are my thoughts so far. I will be updating my workouts occasionally and give more thoughts as I progress through my tub.

Why?
There is 6.3g of BCAA's in 2 scoops which is 4.2g of L-Leucine. L-Leucine is the "heavy hitter" of the BCAA's and the most
useful per the literature for sure. in a 2:1:1 ratio you would have only gotten 3.125g of L-Leucine.
The price difference now between the three BCAA's (from lowest to highest) is L-Valine -> L-Leucine/L-Isoleucine which are around
the same. It actually now costs about the same to do a 2:1:1 as it does a 4:1:1 ratio. But you get much more L-Leucine with the
latter.
Why?
Why?
Knowing the product was open labeled and the profile public, I am curious, not accusatory or digging at you, as to why you
would choose to sign up for this product to log it when you don't like some of what we considered to be key efficacy drivers
in the formula?
Just does not make sense to me?
Regardless, we hope you like to product anyhow...

Mbs
The creatine I'm just kinda old school and prefer mine taken post workout.
Joint support and coq10 I just don't see a reason for in a pre workout. They are nice additions but I'd rather see something else in the profile such as agmatine, citrulline, etc other than joint support in a pre workout.
I actually like the vitamin k inclusion. It's just a new approach I haven't seen another pre take. So I applaud you guys on that.
And I was not hating on your product at all. Just giving my honest opinion. Isn't that what a log/review is for? I'm always curious to try new things especially from a great company like Giant. So relax a little haha.
Anyway had a killer shoulder/arm workout this morning after shift.
Workout
Barbell Clean and Press
1 set of 95lbs 25 reps
Arnold Press
60 lb dumb bells 5 sets of 6
Dumbbell Lateral Raises 35 lbs (both arms moving at same time).
5 sets 10 reps
Dumbbell front raise
40 lbs 3 sets of 12
superset 1 ( sets)
Incline curl 40lb dumbbells. Reps 12,10,8,6,5
Tricep rope extension. Reps10
Not sure of the weight on the extensions. Machine don't have numbers.
Superset 2 (5 sets)
Alternate db hammer curl 60lb. Reps 12,10,8,8,8.
One arm tricep extension 35 lbs. 10 reps
Superset 3
Preacher curl 60 lbs 5 sets of 10
Skull crushers 5 sets of ten. 95 lb barbell. 5 sets of 10
Finished the morning off with 5 sets of 20 reverse tricep push-ups.
Pump was ridiculous today. I'm definitely feeling the Doms. Vascular it's was through the roof more so than I've ever noticed before. Even a guy at the gym mentioned how pumped and vascular I looked. The energy from MBS seems to be perfect for me. Keeps me very alert. I would have stayed in the gym longer but on days I work I tend to only get a quick 45 minute workout in. So far I am really enjoying the product.Komodo Manik

Todays workout sucked
This is what happens if you let MBS sit for 1 minute. Shaker cup is filled to the brim with water.
So, here's what happened this morning. Came off a 15 hour shift with no food in me for at least 8 hours. But I'm off work tonight so decided to go to the gym anyway and get a quick chest/ back workout in.
Got to the gym and changed clothes. Stretched for 5 minutes in the sauna.
Workout
Superset 1
Bench press. 5 sets. Reps, 12,10,8,6,5
Wide Grip Chin Up. 5 sets of 10. (Bodyweight)
Bench weight. 135, 155, 205, 225, 245.
I don't have a gym partner so no spotter which means I don't lift too heavy anymore.
Superset 2
DB Incline Bench Press. 5 sets. Reps 12,10,8,8,8
DB Bent over Row. 5 sets of 10. 60lb DB
Initially started with 90lb Db. Got the first 12. Then had to drop to 60lb db. This set really tested my endurance and is where my workout started going downhill. Started breathing really heavy and motivation just seemed to drop. I was definatley dehydrated.
Superset 3
Machine Fly. Machine racked out. 5 sets of 10
Seated Cable Row. Machine racked out. 5 sets of 10.
After this was finished I headed to the sauna and called it quits. I just was not feeling it this morning. I don't blame it on MBS at all. It was just a bad day. I had more planned but couldn't tough it out.
Some other notes. I have noticed every time I take MBS I have to take a crazy pre workout crap before lifting Lol. Also today I didn't get any noticeable pump. Maybe a bit pumped doing wide grip chin ups but other than that nothing. Its going to be a hectic next 3 days. Moving into a new apartment tomorrow so have to pack tonight. On top of working the whole weekend. So I probably won't hit the gym until Monday morning(leg day). Tomorrow is also my Birthday which I won't get to celebrate Lol. 26 years young and I'm feeling like I'm 50 today.
I'm sure the next workout will be much better.Last edited by TeamMetal; 10-31-2013 at 02:27 PM.

Another Update. Leg Day today.
Ok, so today was leg day. After my less than stellar workout my last session I have been looking forward to today's workout.
As you might have noticed I don't follow a lifting program. I genuinely train by instinct and switch things up a lot. I try to keep my body guessing. I am by no means a bodybuilder and the only goal I really have is to stay in shape as much as possible with my long work hours and busy day to day life.
Workout.
Barbell Deadlifts. 5 sets.
225 x12, 275 x8, 315 x8, 405 x3, 465x1
No real pump yet. Endurance felt great.
Barbell Squat (I suck at squats. 5 years in the military did a # on my knees)
5 sets of 5 at 225 lbs.
Front Squat
5 sets of 5 185 lbs.
Machine leg extensions/curls
Supersetted 5 sets of 10 at 140lbs resistance. Pump was painful. Felt good till I stood up and walked across the room to the next excercise. Wobbly to say the least lol.
Barbell Calf Raises
6 sets of 25 at 225lbs. Super settee with 25 body weight calf raises. Immediately felt my calves ExPLODE. By far within the first set the most painful pumps I've ever felt in my calves. Feels good man.
Finished off with a 1 mile incline walk on the treadmill. Overall a nice workout considering I have been sick since Saturday.Komodo Manik

Yikes @ the picture.
Just a side note - I dont have a lifting partner and I still lift heavy.
If your gym has a squat cage with adjustable safety pins, you can wheel a flat bench over and do any bench pressing in the rack. [flat, incline, decline] I do this all the time and push to failure. When I fail, I just set the barbell down and let the safeties catch. While it may look awkward, the peace of mind is nice.

Update.
Used MBS for a small cardio session this morning. Its been along time since Ive done cardio. 2 miles killed me but I think MBS really did help with endurance. Suprisingly no noticable leg pump while running. I also think I have the flu. Been feeling really bad lately. Might take a few days off to recover, havent decided yet.Komodo Manik

Flu
Well, I officially have/had the flu. Lost a lot of weighthis last week. I'm at 198lbs now. Was 205 last Monday. I'm feeling a little better now.
My apologies to Giant Sports for the delay in updating this as I just couldn't workout. I'm gonna give myself another day of rest and hit the gym on Tuesday morning after work tomorrow night.Komodo Manik

Chest/Triceps
Well it's been a hell of a deload week for me lol. Surprisingly good workout today. Usually Mondays are leg days (Tuesday mornings are my Mondays) but since I've been off a week I felt like I needed a good chest workout.
Took 2 scoops a little earlier than normal. Bout an hour 15 minutes before I worked out. When I got to the gym I was very alert and ready to go.
Warmup
15 bodyweight pull-ups.
Bench Press 135x20 really focused on the stretch near the bottom.
Workout.
Bench press
225x12
245x8 ( pre workout dump almost hit me mid way through) also felt my triceps start to get pumped this set.
Bathroom break
255x6
275x5
295x1
Decline Bench. This is where I felt the endurance part of MBS step up.
225x8 really struggled
225x8 ^^^^^^^^
255x4
Took a 3 minute break and dropped back to 225. And got 225x10. I definitely think MBS helped me with this.
Dropset 135x20
Incline DB press
90lb db 5 sets of 6. Every time I do incline while on MBS my upper chest explodes more so than any other part of my chest. Also I'd like to go heavier but 90lbs is the heaviest db my gym has.
Push-ups to failure. I think I got like 9 lol.
Reverse tricep push-ups. These were extremely difficult due to the pump I had.
5 sets of 10.
Dips.
I tried doing normal dips but my arms were too shaky to hold myself up so I did bench dips. 4 sets of 20.
Tricep rope push down.
5 sets of 8.
Close grip bench press.
135lbs to failure x2.
Overall a great workout and much better than I thought it'd go considering my predicament.Komodo Manik

Back/biceps
Back/biceps today. 2 scoops as usual. Won't go in to much detail. I'm need to get some sleep lol.
Overall really nice workout. Pumps on biceps were out of this world. I know Peter says endurance is what shines the most but for me endurance is hard to judge unless I do cardio and I hardly ever do cardio. My bf %is relatively high somewhere between 17-20% if I had to guess. Roadmap veins on my forearms. I would go as far as to say MBS gives the same or better pumps as Hemavol.
And I hear Giant is also working on a pump product? I think they already have one with MBS, hard to see it getting much better. Did a lot of deadlifting, no noticeable back pump. I recall hearing that Taurine reduces lower back pumps? Idk if true or not I'm no scientist lol.
Also I have noticed I don't sweat as much while using MBS as I usually do. I'm normally that really sweaty guy at the gym(don't worry I wipe my equipment lol) but I honestly don't break too much of a sweat. Maybe it's because the weather is getting colder and I just don't notice it?
That's it for today. Plan on taking tomorrow off because I am off work and need to spend some family time with the wife. I think I got her sickKomodo Manik

Just a quick note. My DOMS today are very noticeable. My whole upper body is in shock Lol. I have not been this sore in a long time. Will probably take 2 scoops tonight as a pick me up and for the added LCLT. Also I haven't noticed anything so far from the joint support but other than my knees my joints are 100% healthy.

OK so I had a big update. And clicked reply and my computer didnt post it and deleted everything so this will be basic.
Had a great leg workout the other day. Did the same lifts as my last leg workout but added quite a few lbs to each lift.
Had a very solid shoulder day and my shoulders exploded. And I actually tied a seated barbell military pressPR. 215lb.
Will hit chest later today. Almost out of scoops as I lended 4 scoops to 2 friends whoi had never heard of Giant before. Still wating on their feedback. Thats it for now.Komodo Manik

Overall Final Review
I kind of dropped the ball with this log. Want to apologize in advance. It's been like 2 weeks I think since my last update.
My work had me out of town doing specialized training for our SORT Team (specialized operations reaction team). It's the prison version of swat. No access to a computer only my phone and no gym. However I did manage to bring along my final few servings of MBS and used it prior to pt and anytime I was dragging ass.
The profile speaks for itself and I gave my initial impressions with my first post. Overall though it really is damn near a perfect profile because there are not many 100% open label pres available and everything is dosed well.
The energy is there but it's never overpowering. I would have loved some added focus ingredients to really get you in the zone. Good energy overall it's what you would expect from 300mg of caffeine.
Pumps and vascularity IMO is the best thing about this product. Glutamine Nitrate has made me a believer.
Endurance was a good and recovery did feel slightly improved thanks to the great doses of LCLT, Leucine, and Creatine.
No noticble joint improvement although I also take Orange Triad so it's not fair to judge this department.
Taste is subjective but Lemonade MBS is very good with a slight aftertaste no matter how much water you use.
Also wanted to note that my stomach distress did get better near the end of the tub.
Mixability is good initially as long as you don't let it sit for a few minutes. Just swirl it around before you drink and everything is fine.
Overall it's a top pre workout and is better than 95% of what's out there. Great job Giant. Highly Recommend!Komodo Manik

Thanks for taking time to review our pre-workout.
Your honest feedback is appreciated more than you know.
I also want to thank you for filling out Form 2 and sending back to us. Most of the people in the promo DID NOT
do this but you did. That makes you a man of your word and a stand up guy by Giant.
You are absolutely a GIANT VIP for sure now and in the future, expect us to offer you chances/opps to log
new products and flavors before we offer to the general public.
For the rest of the people out there who have finished their logs and have not returned Form 2 to us yet?
Please take the time to do so in the next week or so as we want to wrap this up.
We will be giving out more MBS very shortly here on bb.com! Stay tuned!

Have to agree with your review too buddy. MBS is beginning to be one of my top 3 COMPLETE prewo. Where it doesn't need to have anything added to compliment it. YOu don't need any extra pump, endurance or stim ingredient to add to it. The lemonade is my favorite of the flavors. I sampled the others at the O but am glad Peter sent me the lemonade.
