When I met her 3 years ago I was introverted, shy and insecure and she had the personality to light up a room and make everybody laugh. She eventually rubbed off on me over the years and now I am capable of doing the same thing. I also am a lot more outgoing in general and my communication skills have gone up tremendously. I can't imagine what I would be like to this day if I hadn't found somebody like her.
What about you guys?

Hi op,
I learned self-respect and to not sell myself short. I learned not to be a lil horn dog but matured into an adult. I learned to recognize priorities over short-term satisfaction. I learned that being patient for quality exceeds rushing for quantity. I learned all my valuable lessons after break ups but the only thing I learned when I was in the relationship was that money disappears pretty quickly.

Made me appreciate hanging out at home just watching movies instead of going out and wasting money every weekend.

This is a good thread idea.
I met my ex super when I was 17 and super quiet, shy and terrified of everything lol. Basically a huge shy poosy lol. I didn't into the program I wanted so I almost went into one I would have hated and she encouraged me to work for it.
5 years after I met her and over a year since we broke up and I'm a much better person. No longer a beta whose terrified of everyone and very confident now.Eat Right. Lift Heavy. Be a Fat Manlet.
