    walking around with dumbbells..

I read in some article not long ago that one thing i can do is walk around with two heavy dumbbells (one in each hand) and apparently this can help strengthen me overall and also help fix imbalances. is this true, should i start doing it? just walking around with dumbbells everyone once in a while?

I enjoy doing this and feel it helps my core and balance and grip quite a bit. I like to go with 10 lbs lighter in one hand and then switch it up halfway through. Adds to core stabilization work. I think.

just walking around with dumbbells everyone once in a while?
No; there's more to it than ^^^^this.

Like any other exercise, it has to have some structure to it. Just randomly picking up a couple of dumbbells and walking around aimlessly "every once in a while" is a waste of time.
