I'm not all about being sensitive and stuff but it is a derogatory term. Would BlackSkins be acceptable with a picture of a slave on the helmet? I think it is offensive enough to a certain sect of the population to warrant a name change.

Many Native Americans/community find the name offensive. Why offend a group of people (oppressed for years as it is) if it is easy to correct? Why not just change it?

I am half native American and I don't find it offensive and most people around here don't either. We have a few high schools in Oklahoma with the name redskins or other "derogatory" Indian names. Hell, while we are at it, let's just change our state name too since it literally means "red people"
