    Surplus macros. Pick one

So I have run into this situation a couple times. I track my macros religiously, but every now and then I can't sleep for any number of reasons, or I wake up in the middle of the night hungry. What I was to ask its: If you have already hit your macros, and you are hungry in the middle of the night and you say **** it you are going to eat something. What is best to eat.

Is is better, if you are going to do it, to go over in fats, carbs, or protein? OR does it matter at all at that point?

    Lets say it's a ~100 calorie snack.

Just curious as I was hungry and had a half cup of nonfat greek yogurt after I hit my macros for the day lol

So if you're hungry but you hit your daily macros, just transition the macros of the food you ate on to the next day.. I'm sure you're well aware your body isn't based off a 24 hour clock.

That was my first assumption and what I have been doing. I would just assume whatever I ate was subtracted from the next day. But I was just making sure. Thank you!
