Bodybuilder loses all his gains after going in for hernia surgery, fuaaaark

Im not exactly sure why anyone feels bad for him...he did this to himself 100% and this was a consequence of his actions. We all run the risk of something like this happening no matter what we take.

Hes lucky he didnt die though, BBers have died due to prep for shows.

i share those feels. had a hernia surgery last year, dropped 25-30 lbs and took me a good 12 weeks before I could even lift with poverty weight. muscle memory works good though, he is gonna make it

Damn that is not in anyway shape or form normal for a hernia. Not that ive ever heard of. I actually had one of those hernia where my colon would drop into my nutsack. Had it fixed @ like 15-16 and was fully healed in a month.

I find it odd he became septic, sounds like doc fuqqed up and cut his colon when repairing the hernia.

Or it became strangulated/incarcerated (hence the emergent ventral hernia repair), became necrotic, thus causing the sepsis.

Just because someone has a poor outcome doesn't always mean someone was at fault.

This is a result of surgical complications. Not a "hernia surgery". He went in for hernia repair (a.k.a. the most common surgery in the world) and he went septic. His kidneys failed and his colon went toxic. Had to have part of it removed. He said he had 8 surgeries if I recall correctly.

Yes he was clearly juicing obviously. Did that have any effect on his hernia? Probably. Genetically predisposed to a hernia, lifting heavy, the weight he was lifting exceeding the natural progression of endurance of his body. This is how people get injured on steroids. The muscle grows but the joints, tendons and ligaments, aren't ready for the challenge yet. The muscle is running ahead full speed and the connective tissue lags behind. Boom. Injury.

Do what you want with your body. I'm not endorsing or condoning anything with this post. However, exogenous testosterone in the body WILL not cause kidney failure and sepsis. Sepsis = bacteria. He had a bad hernia, complicated surgery, bacteria in his blood, kidneys trying to filter out all the bacterial toxins and byproducts, can't do it. Kidney failure.

You gamble every time you put a supplement or hormone or peptide in to your body. I've known people who have ridden bikes. I honestly think in time people will realize a well controlled cycle of hormones is safer than some of the supplements out there... like phuckin Craze, and Ephedra a decade ago, and all that shyt.

That's demotivating to me. I've been working out 3 times a week. I'm seeing results, but that's scary to know that you'll lose gains that quickly. I'm guessing it's quicker to get it back though?
