    The "progression" in 5/3/1 has nothing to do with the rate that your lifts actually progress at. Yours could improve faster by a lot, if you set the program up correctly for yourself kinda deal.

    Yes, exactly.

    Realistically you won't be adding 300lbs to your total in a year unless you're new to lifting. But that aside, the progress you make is hard to judge. It could be slow or quick, that really depends on you. If you can keep hitting rep PRs every week then you're gonna have improved.

    People respond differently. Something I always heard was that 5/3/1 wasn't really good for your bench. Now, I do 80% for 4x4 paused after OHP but that and the main bench day has really helped my bench. Obviously hard to say if it's entirely the training or other factors but let's assume it contributed a good amount to it.

    Not really...the way you squat you rely heavily on your adductors to reverse the motion. During sumo they are put in a disadvantageous position through the bottom third.

    Oh wow that makes so much sense its almost stupid. I had no idea that sumo is not a good position for addductors to work, I figured that why I should be good at sumo. Ive been aware for awhile that my adductors are what power me out of the hole, its pretty obvious as my inner thigh makes up 60% of my leg mass and is bigger then the quad group of muscles(on me). Thats why I flip my legs in because its switching from adductor to quad group to finish the movement(in squat).

    Care to elaborate further on why adductors are limited at the bottom/beggining of a sumo pull? This is very interesting.
