After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

gotta quick question on openers, 2nd, and 3rd lifts. figured i'd just post it up in here and not make a new thread.
meet is dec. 14th.
this is more about my squat than the other lifts.
i plan on opening with a 402 squat.
i really want to hit that 200kg squat this meet. do i play it safe and go for a 424 squat for my 2nd lift and then attempt the 440 or do i just go for the 440 in my 2nd attempt and if i fail, try and nail it again in the 3rd?

Auburn had how many 1st downs? How many rushing yards? Yeah, Bama missed field goals, but that D got exposed and Yeldon got stuffed when it mattered. Oh and one of those field goals was blocked.
When hardcore Bama fans say they bot beat hands down and will eat crow, you can take that to the bank.1708 total @220 Raw

Critique the s*** out of me:
Rest of the lower weights are on the channel and uploaded as well. Re-learning a wider stance and having chest caving issues, need a few weeks to get my posture better so I'm not leaning in the hole. Mobility at depth is piss poor as well which is why I slowed my descent to get a feel for what depth is that wide out.follow me on IG @ampUP11

I noticed the same thing. Stretch your hips out good before squatting by doing lunges with a band pulling your hip forward that's on the same side as your back leg. Then attach a band to something high and use it to pull your hips up while you take a 45lb plate and put it on your knee/inside of your leg will doing the butterfly stretch lying on your back.

I dont know what parallel feels like squattin wide lol it feels high so I bounce where I used to at a narrow stance. If I rebound earlier I won't butt wink and still hit depth easily. As for heel shoes, it actually makes it easier on my knee because I have chit ankle mobility and the raised heel puts me in a good position apparently. I guess focusing on keeping my chest up and increasing mobility will make me have to try less to break parallel. Felt like I was trying to force myself to get into the position since its not natural to me.
Wat? Video reference?
Never needed to be this supple, just looking for advice on where to start.follow me on IG @ampUP11

well you need to be suppler than you are cause that butt wink are bad bruh. Do a lunge. Anchor the band to the squat rack. If your left leg is back wrap the band around that hip and it will pull you forward assisting the stretch of your hip flexor.
Lie down on the ground. Put your right or left leg out like you're gonna do a butterfly stretch (knee bent). Attach a band to something high. Smith machine bar works great. Attach same band to hip of leg being stretched. Put a 45 lb plate on your knee of leg being stretched so the hip is being pulled upwards while your knee is being forced down by the 45lb plate. no pics sorry buddy. Get more supplerest.1708 total @220 Raw

Any accessory work for hip/glute strength so I can stay upright and feel stable lol? I've been doing ab/adductor and lunges/sldl for glute/ham and quad iso. GHR hurts my knee which would be awesome to use but maybe reverse hypers so I'm more supple-er in the low back/pirformis?

just getting used to the new width is really all you need to do. Yeah accessory work will be helpful, but to me just lowering the weight and slowly working your way back up (practice) will make the biggest difference. All that stuff will tighten up (get stronger) the more you do it. This was my experience.

This is a great hip opening sequence. Can also do it with a band distracting your rear leg/hip similar to what zmcdole is talking about above (although I'm yet to do that myself, without a band does the job for me).
Do some tests for hamstring flexibility too. Check if that's something you need to work on.Meet - 375/215/441

Amp, I don't think I've ever suggested this to anyone before but along with all over the above, Wall Squats. . Wall squats are great to work on especially for someone trying to sit back in the squat and reduce knee travel. You may have to step back from the wall a bit and work your way forward until you can squat down to depth (below parallel for those unaware) with your toes touching the wall and not have anything else touch the wall or fall over. Great warm up before squats, great way to dynamically stretch out, great way to reinforce form, great way to help mobility
