    Post "slow bulk"

So I've starting working out again about 2 months ago being I stopped cuss of a s**t diet
now my plans were to bulk up from 151 to 170 by January , but knowing my self a little well I knew once I saw the belly fat coming in and the abs dissapearing I would stop so I don't wanna waste my time
I looked into just doing a slow bulk, if there is such thing .
Would a caloric surplus of just 300-500 be a slow bulk? Less or more? And would it hurt adding cardio on rest days such as doing hiit?

    1. Yes, it's generally called "clean bulking" to be in a 250kcal/minimal kcal surplus. Keep in mind, you can make progress this way.. it'll just be slower.
    2. You should always be doing cardio, whether bulking or cutting. Make sure you're eating enough.

Depends, but if you're asking about 10lbs of lean muscle mass.

    A while.

As soon as you get a solid diet with a surplus of calories and an effective workout program with big, compound lifts you'll see some "noob gains". I've seen beginners put on 15 pounds in a month or two. Not all of it is going to be muscle but as long as you kill it in the gym and stay consistent with your diet you'll gain 10 pounds in no time.

    Alright thanks for the input
Not to switch up the topic I started off with but since I do understand thatndiet plays a major roll
I dont akways have time too be eating chicken and pasta , I was looking into gettin a mass gainer ( n large 3 since its not filled with sugars) now am not a huge fan of mass gainers since homemade ones are more cost efficient and you know what your eting but between 2 jobs and a college student I was wondering if it would help me at all reaching my surplus
again sorry for the topic change
