I mean, a few hundred years ago Great Britain was the dominant power in the world. Now it's just an island nobody cares about. It's a nice place to visit for tourism purposes though.
But what do you think? Are you sad that one of your colonies is basically your big brother?

This no one even thinks about that stuff, except maybe the older generations. We aren't even taught about half of what Britain did in History at schools. Except maybe the good stuff. I for one, just enjoy the quality of life that being born and living here as given me. Only thing I'd change is the weather/10

People who are overly patriotic and brag about there countries historical successes and current status are pathetic.
Like the same losers who think they had a contribution to there favorite sports team latest win and brag about it to friends when really they had no input to the games outcome.
Pretty laughable.

We were one of the biggest, if not the biggest, influences on the world over history. We had our fun ruling the world for years, now we have retired gracefully into a dormant super power that is still the financial centre of the world with the most iconic city.
America however has no history or culture, and in it's attempt to establish itself as a big player, has only managed to embarrass itself and make the majority of the world think they are a joke.
So no, not really insecure.
The only people who look down their nose at Britain are Americans and Australians, and the vast majority of those have never visited. We have mutual respect with the real big countries in the world, aka the EU.

Hm...
In the UK, nobody gives a phuck about that kind of chit, when you think about it only the Americans really care about being American. I love living in London, everything just feels right, plenty of opportunities, everywhere is only about 30 to 60 minutes away in London. Full of different cultures, beautiful women from all over the world. You can do anything here.
No offense to Americans who are overly proud about 'Murica.

In the real world no one gives a chit about this stuff. Only internet ****s.
Same applies to 90% of the other chit misc raves on about, height, SS hair cuts, being alpha etc.Custom, tradition, and intellectual laziness lead men to follow their religious
leaders blindly.
Misc, a place where
- middle class kids comfort each other agreeing that poor people are lazy and that the rich have no advantages
- attractive non-white people have "white features"
- police are gods and should not be questioned
- abuse to dogs is more important than abuse to humans

lol strong username to thread content ratio
and no OP, I doubt any British people still care. All that happened long before they were alive. American schools cover the history of the American Revolution in exhaustive detail. British schools barely even mention it*lurks every forum but the misc crew*
*would rather play with my neopets than go out crew*
