    Carb and fat intake question

Was wondering if there are any guidelines to how carb's and fat should be taken in. For example should meals be either carbs and protein or fat and protein? Ive read things that its a better idea to separate the two... thoughts?

Can they be mixed or should it be predominantly one or the other at each meal. Obviously you cannot intake ALL carbs or ALL fat at a meal but im talking mostly carbs or mostly fat.

    Thanks in advance

Total daily intake is what matters.

So it really doesnt matter if you have meals with an even balance of your macros? as long as you hit your numbers daily?

Balance the macros in your meal towards your personal preference.

It does matter, but it matters to you. Of course you're not going to get the best results if one meal is pure sugar to get your carbs, the next meal is pure egg protein to get your protein, then the next meal is heavy whipping cream to get your fat. You have to have some sort of balance because macros work together a little in your digestive system. The thing is, how you balance your ratio each meal is going to be better or worse depending on how your body works and everyone is different.

When I did my masters thesis on the metabolism of sugar alcohols, it was relatively easy to support claims of certain outward symptoms because everyone is so diverse in their reactions to certain foods. Pick foods you like, fit them into your desired macro ratio and calorie requirements and then tweak until you find what works best for you.
