Kai looks sharper than Phil in this vid. I'm guessing Kai's bloated gut cost him the title, because he definitely pulled it together here conditioning-wise. Phil looks a bit smoothed out compared to his Olympia showing.

I do go by the video, and Kai was killing Phil. If you want to submit examples from the video that 'clearly' shows Phil's superior conditioning, I'd like to see what it is you're looking at because we're all obviously missing it. I keep hearing the 'structure' argument, which is just straight lunacy. Kai Greene is no Greg Kovacs. He has fantastic structure and flow and a frame that carries his muscle well. He doesn't have one or two muscle groups that overpower the rest of his physique. He has great balance to the size, shape and symmetry to his muscles. Phil looks top heavy in every pose due to the disproportionate size of his arms and deltoids compared to the rest of his body. He has some of the smallest legs in the top six and a weak midsection. His back lat spread is good, but I recently saw just how small his latissimus dorsi are in the pose compared to his erector spinae development, and when viewed next to other competitors he gets lost next to their mass and width. Total package is a blanket term that doesn't mean anything. It's the lazy mans argument because it's easy to say someone has the 'total package' without having to debate the specifics. I can easily say Kai is the total package and declare victory, but I don't because the details matter.

Mostly the abdomen. Kai's quads are more separated, Phil's chest is more separated. They each have more separation than the other in certain places. Phil looked sharper overall to me, maybe I weigh the core more heavily than you folks, I dunno - but Kai's stomach was smooth compared to Phil's and he was letting his gut hang out.

Phil's chest even looked thicker in the side chest even if it has that narrow look to it, and the way he hit the pose showed his size way better than Kai's

Again - Kai hides his size in certain poses (like side chest, and he sometimes hides his legs in the front lat spread).

Phil's more separated in the shoulders and arms as well, so yeah, he was pwning Kai in the side chest this time. And imo, Phil does not look top heavy at all. Interesting that you say that when Kai looks VERY top heavy in the front lat spread (again - likely because he's hiding his legs). The only pose Kai won was the back double biceps, imo.
