Take whatever is going to help you meet your macronutrient goals for the day.
    I'd suggest some red meats.

I'm a vegetarian so I can't eat meat. I'm thinking isolate at the moment as it contains less fat and more protein, is that correct?

    Fat doesn't make you fat.
I'd suggest you research into the sticky threads to get down the basics of nutrition and how to apply them to achieve your goals.

do you like a thin drink or a thicker shake, the isolates tend to be a bit thinner what i've noticed...

secondly you want less fats, but since you're a vegetarian where are you getting your daily fats from? eating nuts or avacado's? just saying this because you do NEED some fats through out the day.

thirdly what are your goals? bulk up, lose weight?

personally I have a variety of proteins, whey/casein/isolate/egg...why not get an isolate and a blend...something like cellucor(i think its a blend?), phase8 or trutein for a blend, and i actually like the gaspari for isolate.

I like hydrolyzed because it doesn't give me gas, mixes better, and has virtually zero carbs. Don't get me wrong I love carbs, but I'd rather get them from other sources.

Trust me, you don't need supps to hit your protein levels. I'm hitting 180gm per day. I am on a bulk though (3200cals).

Anyway, about your question. I think the isolate is for people who are lactose intolerant.
